I felt like writing Stucky so here is some Stucky. :P
Bucky's PoV
Bucky woke up, unable to go back to sleep because of his loud thoughts. He heard someone mumbling something in the next room over. He listened to it for a while and realized it was Steve.
He was going to ignore it but froze when he heard this, "'Hello, Bucky', no too normal, uh, 'hey man- ' no that's worse." Bucky was curious so he slowly walked over to the door which was ajar and pushed it.
Steve's PoV
I decided I was going to tell Bucky I loved him and ask him on a date. I wanted it to be perfect so I was nervous. I planned it all morning and decide to tell him the next day. I woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went to get a cup of hot chocolate.
I went back to my room and sat on the bed.
I started mumbling trying to figure out how to start the conversation. "'Hello, Bucky', no too normal, uh, 'hey man- ' no that's worse." Then Bucky came into view. I got startled and jumped, almost knocking over my hot chocolate.
I was trying to figure out whether to say 'I like you,' or 'do you love me' and ended up with "I love me," I told him. He frowned in confusion.
I recomposed myself and stuttered out, "Uh, I mean, I really like you a lot, will you go on a date with me?" I mentally cursed myself for being so blunt.
My thoughts were suddenly stopped short by Bucky's lips pressed against mine. I was stunned for a second but then responded passionately. We were interrupted by a short, "It's about time."
We pulled apart and stared shocked at the door where all the avengers were standing. They all cheered and whooped for us and while I probably should have felt embarrassed but all I felt was love to the metal handed man whose arm was still around me.
Natasha pushed them away and said, "Alright, enough staring, give the lovebirds some privacy," she winked at us and closed the door.
He shrugged at me and then wrapped both his arms back around me. "I love you," he said. "I love you more," he replied. "Yeah, but I love you most," he replied. I chuckled and let him have the last word.
