3. It's not a prank

Awan is the best friend for me to live a day without you. At least, in the office there are additional activities. In my little cubicle, in the middle of the day I can Google 'How to Take Care of a Cat ' or '10 Signs a Cat Is Getting Married' or ' Are Cats Going To Rule the World?'

My office mates see this positively. 'It's good that you have a cat,' he said. 'Let's not just be upset. Let's make you fat again.'

Indeed, heartbreak is the best diet.

Not all my office mates are like this. There are also those who arbitrarily say, 'Why are you still looking forward to it for a year? Don't want to find another girl?'

Usually I just reply curtly, 'No.'

He even said, 'Never mind, let's just say it's decided.'

I didn't answer.

Had he known, this wouldn't have been decided. It's much more painful . If you are dumped, abandoned, cheated on, we know that person will not come back. But, if the person is missing , what can we do? There is a dilemma between waiting or giving up hope, between moving back or staying in place. Sometimes there is hope that you suddenly come knocking on the door one afternoon and say this is all just a prank .

That's outrageous, then. A very intentional
prank , but still outrageous.

There was also a distant relative came to me, and said, 'Momo, I know how it tastes like.' Again I was silent. He didn't know how it felt. People can show empathy, but no one knows how it feels. I still feel that losing you is something foreign. Something I wasn't ready to feel. How can people feel understood?
