I never needed you [ON HOLD]

Chapter 3

Lucy looked up at the large mahogany door before her. She was already greeted by most of the maids and butlers of that palace and was led to the room where her parents were currently sitting.

She took in a deep breath shaking away the nerves she was feeling and finally pushed open the doors. 

Her parents stopped talking to one of the advisors that were standing before them and saw Lucy walking through the door into the throne room.

"Lucy!?" her mother gasped in shock. She instantly got up from her chair and ran to embrace her child, her father not too far behind her. Lucy smiled and hugged them both back.

"My dear, what are you doing here? You never informed us that you would be coming this soon?" Jude asked.

"Yes I know but I just had to come home"

"I sense that something is the matter. Did something happen with the guild?" Layla asked

"Yes...kinda. Well I'm still part of it" Lucy said as she held up her hand to show that her insignia was still there. "It's the team"

"Team Natsu?" Jude asked

"Mhm. They didn't want me on the tema anymore. I'm holding them back from becoming the strongest team there is apparently" Lucy sighed.

"That is ridiculous! You're stronger than all of them combined!" Jude raged. Layla rubbed his back to try and calm his anger.

"Yeah, but they don't know that. they think I'm a plain old celestial wizard with a sad and miserable childhood."

"I see...is there something you needed?" Layla asked

"Well I wanted to stay home for a little and I also wanted to train as well. I haven't really had many opportunities to do that in Magnolia as I didn't want to risk my other abilities being exposed. I never got that much privacy in my home. I'll stay for a few months. Maybe a year or so, and then go back."

"That's fine," Layla nodded, "bit at least spend your first week relaxing and spend some time with us"

Lucy smiled at her parents, "Of course mama"

A Week Later...

"It's been ages. I wonder when Lu will be back. I wanted to ask her about the next chapter of her book but I can't even write to her cause I don't know where she's at" Levy whined resting her chin between her palms.

"She is on some kind of mission. I'd asked Master a while back if he knows where she's been" Juvia said as she made her way over to the petite blunette. she had just come from Makarov's office.

"Oh, do you know where?" Levy asked. Juvia shook her head and sat down.

"No," said Juvia

"Did you ask? Surely he'd say. And how did we not know about this?" Asked Lisanna

"Master said he couldn't tell me anything else, but something doesn't add up" the water msge replied

"Juvia's right. How can someone be on a mission but also move out of their house? It doesn't make sense. There's gotta be more to it and there is something that Master ain't telling us" Cana said as she finished another bottle of beer.

Suddenly Team Natsu came through the door 

"Well, they look happy. Must've been another successful job huh?" Levy said as she eyed the trio plus Happy

"You think they know where Lucy's mission is?" Mira suggested as put the clean glasses on the shelf.

"There is only one way to find out," Juvia said as she got up from her seat and walked over to the team.
