(InquisitorMaster POV)
Alex awoke on a somewhat large dark grey platform. The sun was out and the sky was blue but there were no clouds and everything just seemed still.
"Alex!" Jaxx called out, he seemed to be afraid of something
"Jaxx?" Before she had time to ask him what was going on, Jaxx grabbed her and rolled around. A blast of energy hit the area where she previously was.
"What is that!" Alex said her pupils shaking
"I don't know, but it's been like this since I've woken up!" they just barely dodged another blast
The thing shooting the lasers seemed to be a giant robotic ball. It suddenly let out static noises before a message came through
"Hello, YouTubers. I believe known of you have knowledge of what is currently happening. I would like to welcome you all to a special event. The subscriber count special! I have brought each of you here because the person to win this even gains a genuine 1 BILLION subscribers!"
This caught both Jaxx's and Alex's ears.
"I see I've received all of your attention," the robot said
"All?" Alex looked around the platform and noticed several other YouTubers, some she knew and some she's never seen before.
"There are several platforms like this, each holding a dozen YouTubers, this will be the home base for your 'Faction' bringing materials here will allow you to build a home or abode so to say. Now, please make yourselves at home the rewards for surviving this first game will be given soon and the next game will begin later."
Jaxx and Alex, realizing it was safe, examined the 'home base'.
"Where are the others? Charli, Levi, all of them?" Alex asked concerned
"No idea." Jaxx sighed "But I think we should try and get along with the other people here"
[Thank you for waiting! Your reward has been given] a red screen with white text appeared in front of Alex and Jaxx

"Jaxx you're hurt?"
"It's nothing serious, let's just check these things out, they could be important or explain more about what's going on."
Jaxx looked at the screen and noticed 7 tabs. Stats, Basic Info, Titles, Abilities, Equipment, Shop, and Achievements. He clicked the Titles tab and the screen shifted.

The robot continued, seeing everyone had seen the interface.
"That is the Y.O.I, or Youtuber Online Interface. It's the system to stay connected with everything going on within this world, and your only other means of protection." It moved closer to the crowd "Not only is there the reward of One Billion subscribers, but each youtuber you defeat will reward you with both EXP and Subscribers! In order to win, you must take subscribers from all the other youtubers. At any cost necessary. Before we get to the rules, the last thing I'd like to inform you of is the interface. Due to the skyrocketing popularity of Gaming Content on the youtube platform, we decided to use that as our base operating system. And finally, the Only rules are 1. Do not attempt to take the life of one who you share a Channel with, doing so will result in extermination of both Youtubers and deletion of the Channel, and all linked with it. 2. Alliances are allowed, however, creating an Alliance with those of opposite Platforms is strictly forbidden. If caught, all involved Youtubers will be exterminated, and their Channels will be deleted." The robot hovered up and down once, as if bowing, before vanishing in a red flash.
Before Alex could react to what she'd just heard, a knife flew straight past her. Cutting her across the cheek thinly.
A woman walked up to her, her hair was pink though the way it was on her head was similar to styling bubblegum into a hairstyle. She wore a black backwards cap with a yellow underside, a hoodie beige on the sleeves and burgundy on the torso area with a donut on it as well as black shorts with burgundy sneakers and a white forefoot.
She glared into Alex's eyes "Who are you?" she said as the knife once again appeared in her hand, made entirely of superhot pink energy.
