"You?" I don't know what the fuck to say, or what to do. My brain is trying to be stable but fails.

"You jumped in front of my car the other day?" I manage to say. My breathing is steady now.

She nods in agreement.

I can feel the nervousness in her, but her eyes are narrow and shooting daggers at me. She's breathing heavily. Within a blink, she jerks her hand from my grip and pushes me aside.

"Adrian." She screeches and moves towards the boy.

"You okay?" Worry is all over her face when she examines him. The boy nods and they look at me at the same time. Her expressions are changed again. She is filled with rage. And if looks can kill, I'll be laying dead by now.

When she opens her mouth to say something, Chris pulls me by my elbow and drags me inside the room.

"What just happened?" he asks.

I don't know what to say. I shrug and leave his sight. We change our clothes and move out to find the trainer. After two hours of learning basics and cursing at the trainer, I wash my face and move out of the bathroom. While returning to the room, I spot the same girl with blond hair. She's dressed in some tight gym pants and a small t-shirt-like thing which fits her perfectly over her small waist. Her hands are wrapped with black tape and her hair is tied high.

She lifts her foot to kick the large bag hanging down the ceiling. Her fist hits next, a loud thud follows her movement and she repeats it with the other fist. I watch her actions repeat, assaulting the bag. She looks so angry, and hot.

Hot?

I'm impressed by her talent, but she's sure as hell not at all...hot. Is she?

I keep watching her as she stops her kicks and only punches the bag continuously with angry groans.

"It looks like she is picturing someone on the bag to kill." A voice whispers from my side that reminds me Chris is with me. When I look at him, his pupils are dilated with his eyes wide open. He is standing in shock and his jaw is practically on the floor.

She moves back, stopping her actions and the swinging bag with one hand. Her trainer praises her and we left the room.

Chris takes all the stuff from the locker while I get my car from the parking. I pull over to the main gate of the building and Chris comes out, followed by that blond girl with blue eyes and her hideous jacket. It suits her.

A car pulls over in front of her. It's that Aiden guy, she smiles and steps in.

My eyes are fixed on her actions and I have no idea when Chris climbs in my car. I tear my gaze from her and look towards Chris who is already looking at me. Confusion and questions can be easily seen on his face.

"What?" I raise my brow. And he shakes his head back and forth.

I drop him off where his truck was parked. While driving back home, I stop at a restaurant and grab something to eat.

.....

Near the driveway, Peter is returning from somewhere. I remember someone told us that he works in a bar in this neighbourhood and gets enough liquor for himself. I never let Anne go near him, even though he seems harmless. But I don't trust drunken junkies.

This house doesn't feel like home when Anne is not here. I don't like having dinner alone but I ate enough to stay alive. After giving dinner to Peter and Jennie, I return to my room and get a warm shower to relax my heavy mind and strained muscles. I close my eyes and the blue eyes of that girl at the gym flashed. Her eyes were cold and demonstrated her anger. But she was nervous at the same time. Her eyes and breathing are not indicating the same thing.
