But he ignored Taehyung's stare cuz as far as he could remember Taehyung had an regular habit of zoning out.

But still the fact that made him feel uneasy more than anything was Chaeyoung was now giving a chance to Taehyung, Chaeyoung was now opening up to people specially with Taehyung

Which he hated the most and this thing was making him feel jealousy a different feeling erupting inside him which he couldn't understand, although he wouldn't lie that he was happy that maybe finally she's trying to move on

Chaeyoung's mood was lifting up month-by-month. She made new friends, became less reserved, took care of herself, studied and specially started making feelings for Taehyung in her heart

She was trying to fight loneliness, show the world that she was fine, moving on. But Jungkook and Taehyung both knew that this was all façade, that she was broken into fragments inside by the loss of her brother (what she referred him as)

It was like a mist around her; however she tried to change, she couldn't completely rub the grief off

A year passed, and all along, Jungkook stood by her as her guardian angel. He accompanied Chaeyoung wherever she went, saw her go to school and back, had her meals, yet still she hated the drugstore and always asked Taehyung to do that one work for her,but Jungkook knew the reason had changed

Now it wasn't the smell of medicines drifting across from it; it was what had happened in front of it

The passage of a year held another significance––Chaeyoung's birthday

It was finally the day he had been waiting for. The keeping of his Promise. The completion of the deal.

It was safe to say he had a plan.

The tenth day of February dawned. It was Chaeyoung's birthday. The day has mostly gone well for her; gifts, treats, lovely wishes, surprises by Taehyung.

Jungkook had seen it all. Chaeyoung had plastered a smile on her face to go through the day. Inside, she craved to hide in a hole and just disappear.
