"Seuljae noona! It's nice to see you again!" Jisung greeted her as soon as she arrived to the lower level, she smiled at the agents before walking closer to them.
"We're happy you accepted our invite." Renjun admitted, taking off his mask as his voice became clearer.
"Thank you for inviting, but may I ask a question?" She uttered, her hands silently fiddled with one another. Relief when she saw Jaemin nodded in reply.
"Why did you invite me even though Mark told me to stay away?"
"I knew you were going to ask that." The black-haired smiled, "and luckily, we have the answer,"
"Renjun over there is our trusty tech geek. He plants several of his techies in our waiting room wherever we had a tournaments. Just to make sure no suspicious person goes in and out," he started, leading her towards Renjun's table that were filled with copies of his grenades and disks.
"This here is our tracker, tracking everyone's body heat, nerves and feelings and if he wants, he also can track your identification code. If you ask how it does that, I don't know." He explained, holding up one of the clear disk that was laying on the table.
"Just to keep it simple. When you entered our room that day, I saw you silently getting excited when we bring up your past agent training– but of course it slumped down when Mark hyung burst your bubble."
The older one explained as showing her stats that he tracked on the day. Seuljae pressed her lips into a thin line, sighing as she caught red-handed, slightly embarrassed.
Being an agent to follow her father's footsteps, has always been her dream since she was little. Training along with her father, seeing how he attacks and defense, watching his tournaments brought her complete happiness.
But ever since the passing of both parent figure, Seuljae had stayed away from the life that her dear mother always kept away from her, thinking it was the least she could do to make her proud.
She let out an embarrassed chuckle, brushing her hair away from her face as she stood awkwardly in front the two. "this is creepy." she mumbled as she stared longer to the stats written on the tab.
"I agree Jun." The taller one said, looking back to his friend beside him who's busy with his grenades, he smirked before turning back to the girl.
"But aside from that, we meant good intentions, Seuljae. We thought you might want to try it for a while."
She stood there silently, her face showed a puzzled expression yet her mind was messy. The guilt started to rush through her veins, her hand brushed her away once again, biting her lower lip anxiously.
Saying yes to the offer would meant disobeying her mother's wishes yet making her father proud. It feels as if there was an intense battle deep inside of her. One fighting for her mother and the other is her father side.
"You can always back out if you want." He continued, cocking his head to the side to have a better view of her face as her hair started to cover her face again.
She smiled slightly, taking a deep breath, shaking her head as she moved her hair from her face. Sighing deeply before flashing him a smile, "I'll try."
Her smile grew wider as she saw Jaemin did a small cheering action before regaining her composure, her thoughts was immediately wiped away as if it was never there. "I'm happy you accept! Now follow me."
"I'll talk to Mark after this!" They heard Renjun shouted from behind.
Leading to the other side of the hall, they both entered through a door into a working area. The whole area looked professional yet cozy at the same time. She followed the male from behind as he signalled her to sit down on one of the wooden armchair.
He took a brown paper file from one of the tables before going back to the girl. Sitting across her, he handed the file. "That's the Dreamers abilities information,"
Opening the file to see the cover with the Dreamers logo stamped right across, she then went to the next paper to see Jisung's information written in full details.
"Abilities, Ultimates. Other informations, it's all there. Starting from the youngest. Every team has one of these especially if they're just starting." Jaemin explained, leaning forward so his elbows laid on his thighs.
"Is this open to the public?" She asked
"Umm— well they don't read it directly but they will know our all of our skills if they watch our match frequently. So it's no— I think."
She smiled at his response as she continued to read the first file.
"Jisung is two years younger than me?" She said unconsciously, "he's so tall."
Jaemin let out a chuckle before turning his head to the side as he heard the door from the back opened the, revealing two of his members, coming in with ice creams in their hand.
"Where did you get that?"
"The store next to us." Haechan replied as he continued to walk passed while Jaemin followed behind, leaving the girl in her own little world as she read through the files.
