Kim Taehyung leans back to the wall outside the Superintendent's Office. Their meeting was short but he knows she doesn't have to say more for him to realize that he has to get his shit together. This isn't the first time he was called for his incompetence, nor the second. He has been visiting her office once every week just for her to follow up on his progress. Taehyung knows very well that she looks out for him more than any of the students because of the relationship she has with her adoptive mother. For a yearlong he has been flunking his grades and missing rehearsals and club meetings. He didn't show up to half of the competitions he was supposed to be in and the half time that he did, it was amiss. He knows the burden that he has costs the school, more so the Superintendent. He lets out a deep sigh and close his eyes "I haven't been myself for a year, I don't even remember the last time I had a good laugh or ate good food. Everything seems so bland and meaningless. No matter how much I distract myself for the fact that Dahyun is gone, the pain of not being with her still remains." Taehyung went down the massive staircase and went out of the red bricked building to get some fresh air. "I can't stand this anymore, even if I try to use my agony as an inspiration to keep performing, my focus and energy is just not the same. Dahyun used to be my muse. She used to be the reason why I get to pour out all my feelings into playing the piano. But now... who should I play it for?" he aimlessly continues to walk in the streets and out of the school premises. His mind remains occupied and somehow all the students he passes by seems to be used to seeing this side of Taehyung. It's almost all the people has forgotten the old him, especially him. He continues to walk down the path that he's very familiar to, he doesn't even have to think about it, his heart knows where it has to be. A few more minutes and he stopped by the last house at the east side. Sweat starts to fall down his face but he doesn't seem to mind. He just stares at the house where he had spend some of the happiest time of his high school life so far. "This is where we used to have study groups together with Nam Joon , Jihyo, Jungkook and... Dahyun. We used to be so loud, we sometimes ended up having a movie marathon past midnight. Everything was so simple back then. " he reminisce their old days together. Taehyung bravely steps forward to the house and enters. He can't believe that the house that is used to be so lively, is now very quiet and empty... like his heart. He didn't bother to know if Mrs. Bae nor Jihyo is around and he continues to go up to the second room in the left. It took a minute for him to open the door as he's having doubts. "This will be the last time..." he thought, still unsure of himself and finally turns the knob. In the dark, everything seems to be just the way he hopes it'll be. The dry air touches his face as he continue to lie on the bed, he doesn't even realized that the windows were open. "This will be the last time I'll visit her room... I need to move on. I need to forget about what happened. I need to forget about YOU." Taehyung thinks to himself. He then remembers the different things that his friends said to him. "It's been a year Taehyung, I know you're deeply hurt but you're life needs to go on." - Seo Yea Ji, "Dude, we miss you! None of these has been easy for any of us, but you need to at least try." - Nam Joon, "Don't be like me Taehyung, don't let the past conquer you." - Jihyo, "Oppa, I'm still here. I'll always be here for you" - Tzuyu, "Wow man, you really had the hardest blow out of all of us, after all you're Dahyun's cousin. But you know what? I bet Dahyun wouldn't want to see you like that." - Jungkook"While Taehyung continues to be emotionally occupied he didn't notice that Sana opens the door of her room and was stunned to see a young man laying on her bed. Taehyung didn't bother to lift up his left arm from his eyes out of exhaustion "I'll be gone in a moment, I won't stay for dinner." Sana becomes confused but remains calm. "His voice seems familiar" she thought. Sana walks in and put her things down at her study table and that's when Taehyung springs up to see who dares to bother him. Their eyes meets again, gazing each other in shock. "Kim Taehyung? What is he doing here?" Sana stares at him. "Kim Dahyun? Is that really you?" Taehyung's eyes fools him in the dark. The room is kept dim. They both move closer to each other trying to make sense of what they see in front of them. "Dahyun?" when Taehyung utters the name Sana was taken aback. "What did you just say?" she says under her breath. "Dahyun...it's been so long..." Taehyung continues to be fooled by his hallucinations. Sana steps closer to him. "Why are you calling Dahyun? Did you know what happened...." before Sana can finish her sentence she was once again stunned when she saw tears rolling down Taehyung's cheeks. "It's been so long... I miss you very much." he says as he touches her cheeks for some sense of reality. Sana is hyped in her mind, he wanted to ambush him with so many questions but she managed to held herself back and just let him prattle. However, its Taehyung who can no longer control himself and hugs her tightly. Sana didn't oppose, hoping to get something out of him. "Dahyun... why did you do it? Why did you leave us? WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?" by this time Taehyung is crying horrendously. "You could have told me what's bothering you. You could have told me what's wrong. You didn't have to leave that way. There are so many things we promised to do together." Hearing Taehyung's distress Sana has finally let go of herself and pushes him away. She cannot believe what she's hearing. All of the things that Kim Taehyung has said, those are also the things she wanted to know. "Hey! How can you not know any of that?" Sana asks him, trying not to cry. "Why are you asking all of that? Shouldn't you be the one to know?" Sana added and this time Taehyung has come to his senses a bit and wipes his face. Sana opens the lights and reveals who she clearly is. "You mean to say you don't know anything?" Sana unbelievably shuts him. Taehyung just got a hold of reality. He leans to the wall as he continue to stare at Sana. Then he sat down cackling in the ground. "Are you crazy?!" Sana looks at his lunatic state. "You're not Dahyun! Dahyun is never coming back! Why did I even bother to be here? Kim Dahyun is dead!" Taehyung says as he continue to laugh away the misery that he fully realized that he's in. Sana irritably approach him and grab him by his shoulders so she can pull him back up. "Hey! Get a hold of yourself!" their faces are inches away from each other. Taehyung comes around and he looks at Sana with contention. "Let go of me... fuck-off." he warns her but Sana just smirks back at him. "What did you say?" she dares to cross him and that's when Taehyung easily pushes her onto the bed that she barely landed. "Why you son of a bitch!" Sana swears back at him. "You're tough for an intruder." Taehyung says at her, brushing his uncut wavy hair away from his face. "Intruder? You're the intruder, you shit! This is my room!" Sana defends herself still laying on the bed, her skirt partly covering her thighs. "No one owns this room." Taehyung stated as he approaches her, preparing for another attack. Jihyo enters the room to see what's the commotion is all about, but is stupefied to see Taehyung almost on top of Sana in the bed. Taehyung immediately shoves Sana away. "Is it true? She owns the room?" Taehyung demandingly asks Jihyo. "Yes, she does now." Jihyo judgingly eyes Sana as she fixes her skirt. "It doesn't matter, I don't care now. This will be the last time you'll see me here." with that Taehyung storms out of the room. Jihyo deliberately wants to follow him but she decided to stay with Sana instead. "Are you okay?" Jihyo asks her. Sana is surprised with her concern. "Yeah, he was being a dick." Sana exhaled. "He's having a hard time, but that might not be for long." Jihyo replies as she remembers him saying he will not be visiting Dahyun's old room again. "He calls me Dahyun. Who is she?" Sana pretends and tries to poke Jihyo, since she now knows she might not get anything from Taehyung. "She's our old friend who used to stay in this room." Jihyo explained. "Oh did she transfer?" Sana continues to play dumb. "No... she's... dead." Jihyo answers her. "That's horrible. Taehyung seems to miss her a lot." Sana says. "Yeah well he's her cousin, they're...very close." Jihyo took a second to think of a proper word to say. "I shouldn't push further, Jihyo has just started to warm up to me." Sana thought. "Okay well thank you for checking." she thanks her. "Good night." Jihyo lets out a faint smile for the first time.
