Obviously George wouldn't be able to admit his new found secret to Dream but lucky for George, Dream has practically figured it out.
This time George struggled to answer Dream and just sat at his desk not saying anything, feeling slight guilt for this hobby he wants to try. "Can't seem to come up with an answer now can you?" A smirk was clearly placed across Dream's face but hidden under the white mask. Many thoughts were buzzing through Dream's mind to find a solution to this new staring problem his 'apprentice', (if you will) but in the back of his mind he knew what was going on.
George thought he might as well come clean to the other since there was no escaping and the truth would be revealed. They do say the truth does set you free, obviously not in this situation though. George let out a shaky breath before starting to answer; "The movements of the weapons were drawing me in, they just had a rush of excitement attached to them that I couldn't break away from."
The smirk on the killers face was quickly made into a wide smile. He knew that feeling very well, especially before his first kill. Then the adrenaline of it all kicked in and he hasn't been able to get away. Not like he wants to, it's almost as he's high on life or he's taking this as a huge game. Able to sit back and laugh after he turns on the news to see the police coming nowhere close to catching him since they've been chasing their own tales for so long thinking they're getting new information.
The new happiness Dream has found was very clear in his words as he spoke next. "So let's get you to try out some then, you've got nobody stopping you." A wave of relief had washed over the younger (a/n: yes, george is younger in the story he's 17 and dream is 18) but also the realization started to sink in and he went stone faced.
Dream was able to take note of this. "Something wrong?" George quickly shook off of the act and responded; "Yeah just some realization going on in the head." "Eh. It happens, let's go find you something to work with, you seem like the type to be good with a gun, maybe a sniper?"
At this point words couldn't express nor describe the emotions George was feeling. Most of it was happy and excited but also slight hints of nervous and confused. Dream motioned for George to follow him and the 2 walked side by side all the way until the weapon room. This time when entering, George had no nerves of Dream coming in while he was there because now they were there together.
Dream walked to a wall shelving multiple guns and pulled off a sniper. It was black with a stripe of camouflage along the middle with the word 'nightmare' engraved throughout it. Now Dream dragged George all the way outside to take his first shot with a gun.
George wasn't in need of needing to go to the make-short shooting range Dream is the proud owner and creator of, so he took him to the cliff where George and Dream sort of chilled and hung out without a care in the world.
Dream got behind George and placed his hands atop of his and guided him through the steps of how to aim and shoot. Obviously giving him the reminder that when going for a kill. aim is key so having good skills with long range weapons is an upper hand in most situations.
Now stepping away from George he ran over to a tree and drew a decently sized circle with a dot in red ink and yelled over at George to hit the target. It's almost like George was made for things like this because he was certainly a natural. Flawlessly aiming, he hit the target dead center.
Dream's mouth dropped, almost to the point where it was visible to George and was in a total state of shock that he was able to do that. Not like Dream was jealous because he could easily execute the skill also, but for him to do it, it took month of training. All George needed to was have a quick 2 minute tour of what does what and he could do it in a heartbeat.
Impressed with his skill too, George was excited for what would come in the future. His abilities could rise to the occasion or they would be absolute shit. Either way, Dream needed a partner and George was the perfect candidate. Now we just need to see what's in store before things could go in any direction.
