It took them over twenty-six hours to travel to North Korea. The snowstorms did steady down, but they caused hazardous effects. The only good thing for Lily was that Ara joined the team. She practically begged to volunteer.

They assigned Lily and Ara to the snowy mountain regions while they assigned Sehun and Jackson to city regions. While crossing the Demilitarized zone, try went through a thorough security check. The chopper amassed them and directed them to the base, where they were going to stay.

"Hello, I am Song Lily, GS from Seoul national Hospital." Lily shakes hands with a North Korean soldier, who appears to be the captain.

"I am Captain of Firebolt regiment, Hyun Ruen Ki," he politely smiles and guides them to their cabinets. Fortunately, they were allotted wooden cabins which kept them warm and cozy. Lily clutches the thick woolen jacket around her, it was way beyond cold. The arrangements were suitable but what consoled her the most was the bathroom. 

They are clean!

"Am I only one nervous?" Ara bites her nails, tapping her foot.

"No, I am screaming inside," Lily grumbles, unpacking her suitcase in search of the power bank.

"Okay, you can continue the screaming session"

Ara was just Ara.

After getting prepared, Lily and her team travel to the affected region, near the snowy mountain. The frosty breeze seems to freeze her blood.

Her jaw drops witnessing the bizarre ailment of the places. Doctors from various other hospitals were scurrying here and there. Most of the people were already under the care and medical camps were in the process to get set up. They were also informed that just a few hours ago another low storm occurred which caused the death of six people and more than ten were injured.

A thick sheet of grief coated the surroundings. Her feet sow deep into the snow up to her ankle.

It was truly a dreadful disaster that was slowly planting the seeds of fear in her bones.

"Dr. Lily, the recent storm made the situation worst, fortunately, people have trivial injuries, but we have four surgeries to perform. Currently, there is also a lady who is seven months pregnant, she slipped on the snow stairs," the head nurse informs.

"I will perform the two, Dr. Sia and Dr. mingyu, please go ahead with the other two. Ara, come with me," Lily distributed the responsibilities among them and shortly move with the ambulance.

Her heart almost ceased when she takes a look at the patient. A rail was stabbed in the victim's abdomen and he was wailing in pain. Ara was in the ambulance behind them.

"Don't even touch the rail. If we took it off now, he might die due to excess bleeding," Lily warns the nurses. The ambulance was moving fast and it was extremely difficult to examine the patient.

"Please hold on, we will soon be at the hospital," she assures the patient. The ambulance gradually slows down and came to a halt. Her eyebrows scrunch in a deep frown, looking at snow and just snow surrounding them. There was no sign of hospital.

"THE FUCK YOU ARE LOOKING AT? GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE NOW!" A man growls. 

Lily reviews from the window. There were almost six of them with lances. She gazes behind them, the other ambulance was surrounded by three men.

What in the world do they want?

"Move aside! We have a patient with us!" Lily yells in desperation.

"Aww South Korean beauty, what a sweet voice you have!" The man laughs in travesty.

"Dr. Please calm down, they are the local gang. We should do what they are saying," the driver mumbles. 

"What the hell you are talking about? You need to drive idiot or this man will fucking die!"  Lily grips the driver's arm.

"Drag that girl out," one of the men howls.

"Lock the doors!" nurses and she shortly fastens the doors. The men yell and bang at the windows then take their guns out. They duck in, battling to save themselves. Lily couldn't comprehend the situation and to make it worst, the men shot the bullets, which passed through the windows.

Her heart pounds in anxiety and she closed her eyes shut in fear, her body trembling uncontrollably. For straight about a minute, the assault goes on, dragging Lily close to passing out in panic.

Just then altogether the sound stops. A minute passed, there was complete silence. Lily couldn't gather the courage to lift her head and inspect the situation. The nurses were already in the pools of tight-lipped tears.

She slowly peeks out of the vehicle, sticking to the compartment door, and witnesses their soldiers had the men pinned down on the ground.

Her heart didn't even retain time to calm down and the door she was sticking to, burst open. Lily lets out a scream, as she was slumping right on her face, but a pair of arms snag her.

The familiar earthly and woodsy scent hugs her senses and his subtle voice mumbles, "I got you."

Her eyes flutter open, she shot her head up only to meet the brine of his warm blue tides. He tilts his head and smiles ever so slightly, smacking her out of her daydream.

"Hey, Chubs."
