(I accidentally deleted original chapter 3 soo... hey at least it didn't have anything interesting in it...? Except it was over 1000 words..)
-Third POV-
-The Feast-
Hadrian watched all the students file in, getting ready to be sorted. He stayed close to Draco and gave a soft smile as the strict woman led them inside. Hadrian jumped a bit as the hat began to.. sing? After the hat's.. lovely singing, the woman began to call names. One after another, 1st years began to get sorted. "Malfoy, Draco!" The blonde sauntered up the steps and sat on the stool, the hat speaking before it even touched on his gelled hair, "Slytherin!!" A few more went before Hadrian jumped as his name was called, "Potter, Harry!" He walked up and sat down on the stool, feeling the hat being placed on his head as everyone whispered to each other. 'Hmmm, you're a peculiar one. You have a lot of courage but yet you aren't stupid about it. You have a mind like no other but you don't thirst for knowledge. You're definitely loyal but you're too ambitious.. I suppose it'll be-' "SLYTHERIN!" Hadrian jumped at the sudden yell, rubbing at his ear gently. He handed the hat back to the woman before going to the Slytherin Table, sitting beside Draco. Nobody moved, slowly coming from their stupor and continuing on. At the head table, a Headmaster was losing his twinkling look in his eyes. Down the table was a confused looking Potions master, staring at the boy and trying to figure him out. Draco hugged Hadrian and after everyone was sorted the speech came and so did the feast.
-Dungeons-
Hadrian followed the House Prefect as he lead them down, he made a joke about being murdered to Draco who gave a mock offended look. Once inside the Common Room, Hadrian looked around. Severus walked in, "As most of you know me, I am the head of the house, Severus Snape. You can address me as Snape or Professor. There are a few rules in this house. If you have problems with someone, deal with it in the common rooms. Outside that door, you are united. My door is always open to you if it's family, grades, anything. Being out past 12 will result in Detention, I hope not to find any of you out, except the Prefects. This year we will have a duel for the strongest to determine the King and Queen, if you wish to try, see me after class Friday." Severus crossed his arms and looked at everyone. Hadrian watched him with awe, listening to every word. "If you have any questions, I'll be in here until 9. Go find your dorms, every room holds 4. You cannot switch." He walked over to a table and helped students coming and going.
Hadrian walked up to the dorms and searched for one with his name; Potter, Knot, Malfoy, Zabini. He gave a shrug and walked in, seeing his trunk and going over. "Snape can be a bit hard fronted but he's cool." Draco said to Hadrian as he sat on the bed. "I think he's cool, he just takes his job seriously. I'd be hard too if I had to teach children potions, especially as dangerous as making them." He hummed out as he changed into a nice shirt and comfortable pants. "You got a point but that's why you listen to instructions." Hadrian gave a gentle shrug, "Doesn't matter if there's instructions or not, there's someone who will disregard the instructions and think they can do it without them. Then there's also bullies, ruining a potion on purpose. You could never know." He spoke softly, the three boys think about it. "It actually makes since, guess I never really thought about it like that." Blaise spoke softly, Draco nodding. "Sometimes you don't think about something because you don't have to worry for it. As Draco has told me, he excels in potions. Purebloods and some Halfbloods are taught from the day their born how to do what. You never have to worry about it going wrong and know ingredients and instructions. But some wizards aren't as lucky. Like muggle borns, they have to figure out why they were different from muggles and some even get abused due to being different. But you disregard them because they aren't purebloods. Like the Granger girl, I saw her on the train and heard her talking to a girl about being muggle born, she already knew 3 spells on the train, just getting to learn them. Some Half bloods aren't as lucky as Pure bloods, sometimes they're left with relatives or just simply disregarded for not being pure. Do I agree that people are trying to mix the worlds together? No. I feel like Muggle borns should have an option, to continue being muggles or becoming a wizard/witch. But whatever they choose, they have to leave the other option behind. Muggles would terminate us if they found out. We may have spells and all that but they have technology and guns. Your spells will not stop bullets fast enough." They boys listened to his explanation, seeing things differently of how they were taught. "Abused? Are we that.. different from muggles?" Draco asked softly, "Sadly.. I've seen it." He didn't dare say he was on the receiving end. "Oh Merlin.. Just how much were we taught wrong?" Draco sniffled softly, Blaise gently hugging him. "Your parents are only teaching you, what they were taught. They only knew what they were told and saw. It's no one fault but it should've been brought to light, showing people what was going on behind closed doors." Hadrian spoke softly before sitting on his bed as well, Theo soon following. "I'll talk to my father, maybe he'll know something." Theo spoke gently, the other two giving nods. "My mom should know something." Blaise said, holding the blonde.
