-Third POV-It had been a week since the sorting, Hadrian was having a blast. The teachers had fun teaching him because he always had more questions. Severus was the most proud, he would talk to Hadrian whenever he had the chance.
Since it was the weekend, Hadrian decided to let his familiars out to go hunt, not worrying about if they'd get hurt. Hadrian was cautious about the headmaster, keeping away from the that corridor that he spoke of. He was curious on what he was hiding but he knew it'd end up with him in danger.
Hadrian sat at the fireplace, reading in a runes book, ignoring almost everything around him. Feeling a presence, he didn't have to look to guess the identity of the person. "Hello Draco, how was the library?" He hummed as he flipped his page. "I don't know how you can do that, you can do it with everyone. But, the library was boring. I ran into.. Hermione? Yes, her. She carries a lot of books." Hadrian snorted, "Oh that's not even half of it. That's nothing to her, she loves reading. You should talk to her sometime." Draco nodded, "I'd like that, she seems excellent at Potions." He smiled and enjoyed his friends company. Another presence came and sat at the chair, "Hi Blaise." Said boy froze and stared, "You need to stop that, seriously." He laughed at his friends complaining and continued reading as Draco and Blaise talked to each other.
Hadrian check the time and smiled, closing his book and made his way to Severus' office. "Hello Severus!" The man smiled, "Good evening Hadrian." He smiled, Hadrian sitting down and watched the man worked before pointing out mistakes. "Neville has done better, those Gryffindors have probably left him alone now. I should talk to him about it, I heard he really likes Herbology. I wonder if he only expanded his areas, he'd see that plants have a lot of deal in potions." Hadrian spoke and Severus nodded, "That is a good point. I think he'd like that. I still wonder how he got in Gryffindor." Hadrian laughed gently, "We'll never know."
Hadrian came back to the dorms a while later, his familiars already back and sleeping as he slipped into bed after changing. He fell asleep quickly, his dreams about his friends.
Waking up, Hadrian put his glasses on and got out of bed. It was early but not too early. Today was Sunday, he thought about what he needed to do that day. Grabbing some clothes, he headed for the shower. After showering and getting ready, he gently picked up Mortale and set him on his shoulders, the snake flicking his tongue as he wrapped around his neck loosely. "Good morning Massster." His snake ish voice came through as he spoke to Hadrian.
Putting out his hand, Moon gently wrapped around his wrist, resting her head under his sleeve. Styx decided to stay in bed, slithering under the warm pillow, Hadrian leaving a note for people to not disturb her. Hadrian picked up his bag that carried a few books to read and just some other things, Azrail jumping in as Xena cleaned her paw around his feet. Hadrian walked out of the Slytherin Common Room and to the great hall, Xena walking by him. Mortale gave a noise of surprise as Libitina popped her head out beside him from her position on his arm. Hadrian laughed as Mortale gave an eye roll. "Ssssstupid Child.." He muttered as Hadrian pet Libitina. He sat down at the Gryffindor table by Neville and got his breakfast on his plate. The boy stared with other people, "C-can I help you?" Hadrian smiled, holding his hand out. "My name is Hadrian, wanna be friends?" Neville shyly shook his hand, "I'm Neville.. and sure..!" He ate quietly as Hadrian did as well. "I heard you like Herbology. Maybe we can talk about it some?" The boys eyes got bright with happiness. Giving a nod, they spoke quietly about the subject.
Hadrian spent his day with Neville, him giving points in potions and Neville talking about all types of plants. Hadrian wrote down a lot of things about the plants and what they could do in potions. Neville's eyes grew hungry for the knowledge. "I was being so idiotic. All I had to do was look at plants. Thank you Hadrian, I appreciate it." He smiled, "Eh, it's nothing. Se- Snape, is surprised by your knowledge in Herbology but he was a bit sad that you only focused on that. He is the reason I sought you out." Neville blushed a bit, from embarrassment. "That bad huh?" Hadrian laughed out loud, "A bit, but he's happy you've been showing progress. Slowly." Neville laughed as well.
