Catherine was summoned to the devil realm by the king . So, she and Seong Hwa left together for the dark world .

Catherine was waiting for the devil king to come to the throne room . After a while the devil king arrived and sat on his throne .
Catherine bowed and greeted, " All hail to the dark lord ! "
The devil king then allowed Catherine to sit while Seong Hwa took Catherine's command to leave them for a while and bowed to the king before he left the room .
" So....My Malkin Princess, I have received your message . You have done an excellent work ! Well done ! ", the devil king praised.
Catherine lowered her gaze and replied, " Anything for you, My king . "
Devil king then asked, " Now, what do you want as a reward ? "
Catherine wanted to give it a try but still didn't ask for her wish . " Whatever you reward me with, I'll accept it whole heartedly . "
Devil king nodded on her reply and said, " Ok then . Your reward will be......(observing Catherine's expression).... A power . And the power is one of the fundamental elements.....the Night element .(pausing for a while) It'll be a permanent power to you that I'll give . That means I can't take it back . Do you know what the Night element actually means ? "
Catherine nodded hesitantly and spoke, " Hmm.... Master, I don't know for sure but it is related to eternal darkness maybe ?? "
Catherine knew but she wanted the devil king to spill it himself .
Devil king confirmed, " Yes . You are almost correct . If you have it, whatever power you have, it will increase 10 times than usual . In order to make the power work, you have to remain in dark regions or at least where it is night or dark . Night or or darkness is the main source of your new power here . "
Despite knowing everything, the description of the power made Catherine's jaw drop to the floor .
Catherine bowed and said, " Master ! Despite you being a dark lord, you'll always remain a benevolent king to me . Thank you, Master ."
Devil king then reminded, " After you exactly locate his place, you will have to give back the pendants to me, Okay ? "
Catherine agreed, " Yes, My king . "
Catherine then called out for Seong Hwa to bid farewell to the devil king when the devil king spoke .
