CHAPTER-2 : THE THRONE ROOM

(1 week later)

( The dark world )

Devil king's P.O.V.

I was on a meeting with the guardians of the seven gates of hell discussing about whether to release Catherine from her punishment and assign the task or not.

"So now, what do you think about the purpose? ", I eyed everyone's expression cautiously and stopped at the Guardian of the 1st gate who was a bit agitated on the issue.

[ Guardian of the 1st gate of Hell - Devil of Envy and fury. Son of Devil king aka devil prince ]

" I think it's not wise to release her from her punishment let alone to give her the task ! After all she is a witch and that too a very sly one.", the devil prince spoke up.

Though my son is a bit short-tempered but when I come to think of it... he is partially right.

Then I followed my most trusted guardian's expression and waited for his opinion.

[ Guardian of the 3rd gate of Hell - Devil of Fear. One of the oldest devil in the dark world and most trustable to the devil king ]

"But I think, His Majesty is right in some point. If we come up with a backup plan to control her,we can also meet our purpose and at the same time she won't cause any trouble.", the 3rd gate guardian suggested .

Well that's what I like about him. Always thinks wisely and never declines my words but also presents his view very neatly so that I am not found wrong. He should have been my advisor other than a Guardian. Oh! nevermind.

After that before I could have observed any other well,the 2nd gate guardian also spoke up.

[ Guardian of the 2nd gate of Hell - Devil of pride and vengeance. Always thinks of opposing 3rd guardian but eventually supports the devil prince so that he remains in good terms with the devil devil king ]

"I am always by my king's side as I am sure he's gonna come with an outstanding way for backfiring the sly witch. But Your Majesty, I do hope that you will never forget that your pride is armour and won't let it fall apart that too for a pity witch like her.", the 2nd gate guardian issued .

This whole time, after the 3rd and 2nd gate Guardians have spoken, I have realised that my son was having some mind conflicts regarding their opinions. But when I noticed his calming posture, it was no doubt that the 2nd guardian had handled the situation.

I must say he does have an affect on my son keeping control of his emotions, I don't mind. But I should teach him to control everything on his own rather than depending on others. Afterall he is the next Devil king.

"Hmm.....the 3rd guardian is right and don't worry, I will do remember my pride shield, 2nd guardian.", I assuringly said it to both of them.

" Now, does anyone has a say on this matter? You may proceed if you have any.", the devil prince asked.

" I am okay as long as the king's okay.", the devil of sins (Guardian of the 4th gate ) assured.

" I do agree with the 2nd guardian but I am with the decision.", the devil of Lust ( Guardian of the 5th gate ) consented.

Along with them, the other two guardians also gave their consent on waking Catherine up on some conditions and give her the task.

I sighed deeply and got up from my throne. The others also followed me by getting up from their respective places. Then I declared the ultimate decision. "The die is cast . The Malkin witch will be released from her exile sleep."

( Catherine's exile room )

Catherine was laying on her iron bed obviously sleeping as per condemned. She was just thinking about when and how will she be released and so on.

On that moment the large banned doors suddenly shot open and Catherine got alert.

" *What's going on?Why are the doors opened abruptly?* ", Catherine was thinking and talking to herself internally.

And then all the guardians of the 7 gates along with the Devil king entered the room and started to observe her.

" As usual...gorgeous yet sly ! ", the devil prince mumbled.

The 2nd gate guardian alarmly whispered, " Young Master,be careful. Your father might hear you. "

Instantly the prince shut his mouth.

The Devil king stood in front of her and raised his hands chanting some spells due to which a strong power bubble was formed and it lifted Catherine up on the air. Then suddenly a blinding bright light formed and Catherine slowly landed on her bed.

She slowly opened her eyes and started to move her body parts. She then slowly got up and tried to settle herself observing her surroundings. When she came back to her full senses, she bowed to the Devil king and greeted , "All hail to the dark lord ! "

With that everyone also bowed and repeated the same.

While bowing, Catherine smirked widely but carefully so that no one notices. Her devilish smirk showed that she was cooking new dangerous recipe inside her head, " *finally*."
