Sapnap turned to where George stood, well more so leaned.
"Woah," Sapnap muttered under his breath and went over to George, helping him make his way back to the couch.
"Thanks," George said simply, "I appreciate it." He added, sitting back down on the couch.
Sapnap definitely wasn't expecting George to say that.In fact, George wasn't expecting himself to say that. But he had to go with it, in order to make his act more believable.
"Oh, well, you're uhhh welcome" Sapnap smiled. He stumbled on his words, more than he should have. It played over and over in his mind, those few words. Sure he was a tough guy but George seemed to bring out the softer side of him. Sapnap definitely didn't like it, but he couldn't say he hated it either.
George simply nodded in response. He didn't understand why dream wanted him dead. Or why his bow malfunctioned. "Could dream have done it on purpose?" george thought to himself. Sure, he trusted his boss, but he couldn't help but notice this was the first time of a malfunction, file without reasons for him to be killed, and even where his boss smiled after giving the assignment.
George thought further into the events of the day he was assigned this mission. Everything seemed to be normal at the time but thinking about it now, George noticed something. The tanish-yellow file hadn't been organized like previous files. Normally the photo was a small picture, even on files with little information. In fact, the photo seemed to have been full sized initially, except it also seemed to have been cut, as if there was someone else in said photo.
"-rg, -orge, pretty boy!" Sapnap practically started yelling. George was taken out of his thoughts at that point and looked up.
"What?" George asked, "did I miss something?"
George wondered if during the time he was zoned out that Sapnap said something important. He doubted it and maybe Sapnap was trying to get his attention again, but there was always a small possibility.
"Oh good, finally got your attention." Sapnap let out a joking sigh of relief, "I was wondering if you wanted to watch a movie with me or something. You seemed to be bored and since your friends wont be picking you up anytime soon, I thought a movie might help." Sapnap over-explained.
It was a wonder to Sapnap, how he would end up in this situation. Of course, he didn't mind it, but he felt himself get more comfortable with a guy he just met, might he add. Sapnap almost completely zoned out before George snapped him out.
"Oh yeah sure, what movies do you have?" George asked. Watching a movie didn't seem like a bad idea, and it would give him time to think over this entire situation without Sapnap wondering why he stares somewhere for minutes on end.
"Well, we have all sorts of movies." Sapnap began and went over to the cabinet of DVD's for the TV. "We have Back to the Future, Die Hard, UP..." Sapnap continued the list. It had been clear to George that Sapnap didn't seem to bother organizing the discs, considering the movies that were sat together were very different from each other.
George thought for a moment as to which movie to watch. He wanted something that he could occasionally watch but also not too much of a movie that draws him in so he couldn't think of past events.
"How about we watch The Princess Bride?" George said aloud, remembering the choices. Sure the movie was a classic and it was pretty good, but it also never drew George in like some other movies had.
Sapnap nodded in agreement. If he was honest he liked the movie. It was cheesy, but still actually pretty good. He took the case and removed the disc, putting it into the DVD player and turning on the TV with the remote. He put away the case for the disc and sat down next to George.
"Ready?" He asked, looking over at George, who seemed to be out of it again.
"Huh? Oh yeah, ready" George nodded and Sapnap pressed the play button.
The movie started and George already started to go back into his thoughts. He remembered the cutout of the picture wasn't very straight like how a printer would lay it out, but instead there were bits that looked like something you would find after a 5 year old cut their first 'straight' line. It had jagged edges and even tears from where they tried to remove said jagged edges.
Then onto the file information. He noticed it was done last minute. Usually files that were made for someone to assassinate said person were done carefully. This one seemed to be rushed in a sense. Not only that but it wasn't written like the department that makes the files normally writes it. The sentences were less sentences or more bullet notes to say the least. It was like someone else wrote it.
George was lost. He was very observant of things, but of all the times only now does he remember them. Something about this was suspicious, but he couldn't figure out what about it.
The words "As you wish", oddly enough, snapped George out of his thoughts. He remembered they were watching a movie and that he couldn't stay in his thoughts for long periods of time.
During the time in which George had been thinking, Sapnap would occasionally glance over. He noticed how deep in thought the other was and didn't think it would be over this movie. He wondered what George was thinking about, but whatever it was, he had no reason to want to know. As George snapped out of his thoughts, Sapnap would turn to the TV again and pretend he was watching it the entire time.
George listened to the narration of the movie. The voice of the narrator was something that of a story book teller. It was almost magical. It fit well with the movie and George liked that. As time went on, the narration would decrease, but George didn't mind. The transition from narration to the story being told from the views of the characters made things more lifelike.
George watched the movie, forgetting about his earlier decision to think while the movie played. He was drawn in by the movie. Though initially he remembered it wasn't something he was drawn in by, it seemed that as time passed he could connect to the movie more in a sense.
Sapnap noticed the change in George's behavior. Going from zoned out in his own thoughts to intently watching the movie. He found it slightly a,using how George could go from one thing to the next without a problem, or from what he saw there was no problem anyway.
Sapnap smiled to himself and turned back to the movie. As time went on, the two got more comfortable with each other and even made small comments about the movie. Sapnap was the first to do it and George joined in later on. Occasionally the two would reenact it or question the choices of a character.
When the movie came to an end, George felt himself feel more comfortable and even wanted to watch another movie with Sapnap, which they did. They ended up doing a movie marathon together, watching movies of different genres and production studios.
George eventually leaned up against Sapanp, leaving his head against the other's shoulder to which Sapnap internally exploded. He felt butterflies in his stomach but didn't say anything, only smiling and wrapping an arm around George.
