Author's Note: I noticed a couple of mistakes I made. For any confusion, Black and Geneviève are not married...yet. Introducing a new character.
Black couldn't sleep at all last night. His mind was in many thoughts as he thought about him visiting his mother's grave for the first time. Black didn't show any emotions at her funeral. He was an empty, broken son. He didn't shed on tear. He was happy she was gone. He was up early in the morning, while Geneviève was sleeping peacefully. Black felt sorry for blaming Geneviève for his mistakes. He made a promise to himself to control his anger towards her. Black always wanted a beautiful woman to have his last name. Out of all the women he's been with, Geneviève was the most perfect. He remembered her taking off the ring last night because of his selfish actions. Black played with the ring simultaneously as he watched Geneviève sleep.Black wanted to have a perfect family with Geneviève.
Black remembered the first time he met Geneviève. Before he turned himself over. Geneviève wasn't the type to brag on anything. She was real, rare and authentic. She was a sweetheart with an innocent soul. There is still love for the both of them. Black wanted to visit his mother's grave alone. He got dressed quickly, but had to make a quick stop first.
Black had his reasons for not coming back to his hometown. Too many memories and traumatic experiences. But in his earlier years, he had someone special in his life.
The woman welcomed Black into her arms. He hugged her tightly never wanting to let go. His first love. The girl he had a crush on for the longest. The one he thought he would've married.
"Are you hungry? It's pretty early still. I'm surprised you even called me. It's been years." She smiled as Black stared at her.
Seeing her now made him weak. The both of them were inseparable. She had Black's back through everything. Rose Stokes was her name.
Black didn't respond to her, he just still stared at her. She didn't change at all. She wasn't a girl no more, she was a woman. She blossomed beautifully. Rose noticed and her smiled faded. She couldn't believe that her first love was standing in front of her. The last time they encountered is when they broke up.
"Black, are you hungry." She asked once again. Black started to walk around her house, checking out everything she owes. He walked back over to her.
"Now that I'm here, I can finally confess that I missed you." Black stated, taking a seat down on her couch.
"I missed you too, baby." Rose confessed, adding a smile afterwards. -"How you've been?"
"I need to change the people I call 'family'. They're making my life Hell."
"You're still having problems with your family? The last time I saw them when we was at court. Have you visited his grave yet?" Rose asked, bringing up an emotional event.
