What a beautiful house, a wide yard, trees, beautiful plants, and lots of flowers. Well maintained, very clean, and a very nice place to just chill and hang out.

Who lives here?  I wondered. We entered the front door, I see no one. It was so quiet, but my heartbeat was so loud. He is still holding my hand, gently. We headed to the kitchen, and that's when I saw someone. She had her back on us and turned when Mouse knocked on the table.

"Mick," she said and turn her eyes on me.

I smiled to greet her and said, "Hi." I don't know what to do. I looked at Mouse and there he is smiling again but she was confused.

"Mick?" that's the second time she mentioned that and I can hear silent questions.

"This is Catherine," Mouse said, pause for a while, and then said, "Whippets neighbor."

I hear her sigh and then smiled, walking towards me, and hugged me. A bit tight.

"Ohhh, it's nice to meet you. Finally." Now I'm puzzled coz I think I saw her teary eyes. Are people here that nice to foreign travelers? That they look overwhelmed or something like that? How ironic.

Mouse looked at me and said, "She'll be back."

I was lost looking at his smiling eyes. Like I just agreed to what he said in my thoughts.

"Let's go, Cat." holds my hand and gently pulls me away from his mom.

"It's nice meeting you, Mrs. Jenkinson..." I said.

"Pat, call me Pat," she said as she waves goodbye, "come back tomorrow for Dinner Cat, I'll cook for you, dear. See ya!"

What just happen? I thought. But I didn't realize I was thinking out loud when I heard Mouse laugh a little.

"You've just met my mum, that's it."

I want to ask "why?" but I just can't say anything at the moment. Everything is buffering, I don't get it. It's our first meeting, and he doesn't really know me personally, so why? Why would he introduce me to his mom? Is it always like that every time he meets a girl?

At that time there are a lot of questions running through my mind. I tried to shake it off of my head for now and just try to enjoy the reality that

I am with him,
