Chapter 6

Luke's POV

Hayley and I decided to forget about the kiss. At least I did, even though I'm not going to. It was amazing. But if she wants to stay friends, we will. I don't wanna lose her. I love her too much.

We were sitting on the couch watching the TV. Then I remembered I have a band rehearsal in half a hour.

"Hayley, I have a band rehearsal in a bit. Is it okay to leave you alone?"

"Yeah, of course."

I went to change my clothes and put my shoes on.

"Bye, see you later." I said to Hayley who was still watching TV curled up in a ball. I wish I could cuddle with her.

"Bye" she said.

Hayley's POV

I was still having that awful headache, but now I also had a feeling of throwing up. So, I went upstairs to the bathroom and threw up. I wasn't really sure if it was something serious, so I wanted to go to the hospital but I remembered that I have no one to drive me there.But then I remembered. My friend Will lives a few houses away from Luke's. He's my good friend, I think he'll help me. I was sitting on the bathroom floor and took my phone, so I called him.

"Hello, Hailey" he said after a few seconds of ringing.

"Hey, Will. Where are you? Could you maybe help me?"

"I'm at home, why? Yes, of course I can."

"Well, I'm here at Luke's place and I need a ride to the hospital. Could you take me? Luke's not here."

"Yes, no problem. Wait for me outside."

"Okay, thank you."

So, I went out and Will came after about 5 minutes. I entered the car.

"Hey, Hailey. Why do you need to go to the hospital? Something about your cancer?" he seemed worried.

"I don't know...that's why I'm going"

Will has always been really nice. Not just to me. He's always really polite. He was my friend since elementary school. He's not really my type but I love having him as a friend.

"Here we are. Do you want me to go in with you?" he asked

"You don't have to.

"I'll come in with you. Just in case."

"Alright, thank you."

We came in and walked to my doctor's office. I was feeling way more dizzier than yesterday. I couldn't even walk. The lights were getting darker. So did everything else. Suddenly, I wasn't feeling anything.

"Hayley? Are you okay?" I heard a voice calling me as I was slowly opening my eyes.

I saw myself laying in the hospital bed with a couple of tubes on my hands. Luke was sitting on a chair beside my bed and holding my hand. Will was leaning on the window. They were both looking at me.

"What happened?" I said while rubbing my eyes.

"When we came to the hospital you passed out in the hall, so the doctor took you here and did some tests, so he found some alcohol in your blood, so that affected you." Will explained to me.

"Uhh...could you maybe leave us alone for a bit?" Luke turned to WIll.

"Yeah, sure" he said and walked out the room.

"I'm sorry, Hailey, this is all my fault" he turned to face me and kissed my hand.

"How could this be your fault?"

"I was the one that let you drink the alcohol. And now it affects your health. Also, I left you alone at home and didn't take you to the hospital."

"Luke, it's okay, Will took me here."

"Yeah, but..."

I raised a eyebrow to him. I saw him getting a bit pink. He might got jealous? He's so cute when he's jealous. He just smiled and kissed me in the forehead. He didn't let go of my hand ever since I woke up.

"So, how did you find out I was here?" I asked him.

"When I came back home and noticed that you weren't there, I got worried, so I called you and Will answered."

"Oh" I nodded slowly.

The door opened and Will and the doctor came.

"Hello Hayley, I guess they already told you about why are you here?"

"Yes" I nodded.

"Alright, I'm gonna let you go home. And for later on, don't drink any alcohol as it could get worse."

"Okay, thank you"

Then, out of nowhere, my mum ran into the room.
