jiheon : if you're gonna befriend them i swear i don't know whether to be proud of u
or to be freaked out

seoyeon : i'm going to ask for their number!

"so... what are your plans for today?"

seoyeon put down her phone and paid her attention to the two idols.

"well, asides from a performance, later on, we'll just be back in the dorm.. resting.. unless if we have homework or anything..."

seoyeon just nodded at nagyung's answer.
she felt jiheon's leg nudging against hers under the table.

she glared at jiheon.

"do you guys want to hang out sometime?"

the two idols left their mouth open. sure, they might be the idols but even for them, being friends with the seoyeon was an honor.

they heard from jiheon (and practically everyone else) that seoyeon doesn't ever befriend anyone except when she needs to socialize for group projects since jiheon is not in the same year as her.

chaeyoung was the first one to answer.

"heck, yeah! when?"

nagyung and jiheon are both still in shock.

"i don't know, when are you two free? aren't you guys idols...."

"oh! right...right. well, let's exchange numbers?"

"cool."

"i'll give you nakko's one too."

"cool."

"romsaeee, can i hang out with my friends next week?"

chaeyoung asked her leader for permission. saerom's eyebrow arched.

"what friends?"

"the ones from school."

"umm....no."

"what? why not?"

"we're rookie idols, chaeng."

"so, what? i can't make friends anymore?"

"chaeyoung...."

"let's make a deal, romsae."

"listen to me first."

chaeyoung kept quiet and nodded, signalling the leader to continue.

"we're idols, chaeyoung. people won't look at us the same anymore. there's always a hidden motive."

"but— we're rookies, romsae."

"exactly! we're rookies, we're new to this and that's why its even easier for people to take advantage of us! those people who you consider your friends may not even feel the same way about you."

then it was silent between the two.
chaeyoung admit that saerom does have a point. but chaeyoung also has an opinion of her own.

"but...she's different."

"how do you know?"

"i don't know... i just do... look, let's make a deal, okay?"
