Tonks Cottage
1st September 1990

The day had soon came for the two sisters to leave for school. Nymphadora to Hogwarts for her seventh and last year and Cassandra to Durmstrang for her first year.
Of course both were nervous, but Cassandra was worse- a new school and in a different country? With no one she knew to walk the halls with her? Yes it was definitely nerve wrecking, but it was time.

For the summer, it seemed that Cassandra and Nymphadora was getting closer, Dora's long months apart from her little sister, grew them closer. But how could her little sister explain to her that one of the reasons she was studying at Durmstrang is to stay away from her?
As selfish as it was of Cass, she didn't want to see the pink headed girl grow up and finally leave her, like she has been taking small steps to do so all these years. The 11 year old thought that if she doesn't see her leave then it wouldn't hurt her as much.

"Right girls, if you don't come down now, we will be late and it's all your fault!" Exclaimed Ted and he shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

"Teddy, don't make Cassandra panic on her first day please" plead Andromeda as she past her husband a plate of cheese on toast, but not forgetting a quick peck on his cheek. "You think she'll be ok?" She worried, who now made her way to the counter to finish making the sandwiches for her daughters.

"Of course she would be love, she's a smart and calm girl" replied Ted, taking a large bite out of his toast at the breakfast table. "Just don't understand why she couldn't of gone to Beauxbatons, it's a bit closer" spoke Ted with his mouth full of food.

"It's her decision, you know that! I just want her to be happy, that's all" the mother of two weeped. Behind her, her husband moved from his seat to hold her close, shushing her.

"She will be, I promise dear" he cooed to her.

"Is everything ok?" Questioned the youngest, who appeared at the bottom of the stairs, dragging the large trunk with the Durmstrang logo.

"Yes little one, me and your mum are just sad, but also excited for you!" Ted answered honestly.

"Oh! I'll be fine I promise, I'll always owl you" Cassandra whispered as she hugged both of her parents.

"Right, stop being sappy both of you. What is Tonks doing up there?" Questioned Andromeda, wiping her tears eyes on her apron before approaching the stairs to call down her eldest. "Nymphadora Vulpecula Tonks, if you do not get your ars-" just at that moment, a pop sounded next to Meda, it was Tonks who apparated beside her.

"I'm here!" Giggled the pink haired witch as she sat down at the table, grabbing a slice of toast.

"And where is your case missus? If it's not packed you can walk to Scotland" Andromeda spoke as she flipped the towel she was holding to clean an already clean table.

"All packed, did it last night. Near the front door if you must know! I wanted a lie in, is it a crime?" Spoke the mischievous one.

"Right we'll, you best have everything I'm not sending you things by owl again" carried on Andromeda. "Right we'll moving on, Dora we'll be dropping you of first then going by port key to Bulgaria. I've made sandwiches for you both, ham for you and chicken for you Cassandra"

"Thank you" both of the sisters replied.

"Now girls, both of you behave, and try not to break anything, we aren't sending you extra money" Ted asserted as he looked to Tonks at the end of his sentence.

"Are you sure you have everything" asked Mrs. Tonks for the 34th time since leaving the house.

"Yes mum, I gotta go or I'll be late, bye love yous" whined Tonks as Andromeda double checked everything before Ted put the luggage on the train for her. "Come one Lime" before she could step onto the train, her mother pulled her back.

"Don't forget to say goodbye to your sister" warned Andromeda, who stood their tapping her foot.

"I'm gonna love and miss you little one. Just be careful ok, you can always owl me if you need to. Just be safe please" uttered Dora as she went to hug her sister. "I'll see you at Christmas, I love you" she spoke moving to her mother and father for one last hug and kisses before finally stepping on the train, just as the train gave it's final warning.

"I love you to" spoke Cassandra, tears in her eyes as she waved goodbye to her sister. Even though Christmas was only a few months away, she felt like this would be the last time she'd see her sister, the way she feels every time her sister leaves her on the platform.

Like she will never see her again.
