After some time..."Of course I can handle a bunch of loser" I whispered to myself. He doesn't... never mind.
Walking away from the walls and seeing the small little flames in lanterns. They bright up the area, such a small fire can do so much.
Everything so calm and very quiet. Some laughter can be heard from Angel's Share. A few people wandering around and watching the night sky.
I make my way to the statue of Lord Barbatos. Some light were on at the headquarters. The cathedral shined with their glass colors.
The air became soft around me. A lyre can be heard. I look up and see the same boy from early, Venti, sitting on the hands of the statue.
The lyre he played was so relaxing. The notes he was playing sounds familiar. It sounded like a song my caretaker use to play.
"Come up here" I heard Venti say. Was I standing there for a while now?
I stood still. I'm not sure if hes talking to me. I look around and see no one. It is late night so I doubt anyone would come out for a walk besides the drunkards.
"C'mon, I dont like waitingggg" Venti said again, this time he looked over at me. So he was talking to me, that's a little embarrassing.
Is it rude to climb the statue? I jump onto the hands instead of climbing. Rude or not, I don't want waste time climbing. I landed behind the board and waited for his response.
The tunes of the lyre felt like the wind. Speaking of wind, where even is Barbatos, is he in Mondstadt or somewhere else.
"You seem troubled" He spoke out, breaking my thoughts. He patted the next to him, signaling me to sit besides him.
I stood still, not moving an inch. Something about you feels familiar. I cross my arms and stare at the sky ahead of us. The soft tunes of the lyre and the wind singing it's own song.
"Is there something you need?" I asked, breaking the silence. His lyre became more quieter and the air became calmer.
"Just checking up on ya" I could sence the small smile he has plastered on his face. Very cheery.
"Hm" I hummed and closed my eyes.
He backed up a little and stood himself up. I also back up, giving him room to stand. His lyre disappears into small white feathers and his smile softened.
"Well, it's good to see again." He says. He looks at me and gives me a winky face with a small bit of his tongue sticking out.
Again? Have we met before? Before I could say anything else, he jumped off the hands and landed softly. He walked away but as soon as I blinked he disappeared.
That's one weird bard. I look back at the sky that I once looked at. I guess I'm stuck protecting this town.
I sigh and sneakily jump off the hands, landing in the water that surrounds the statute. My feet gain a little pain from the fall.
I start walking but end up stumbling. I stand up straight and move one leg at a time. If anyone were to watch me, it would look like I was stomping towards something very angrily.
"My my~, seems like someone forgot how to walk~" That voice, it's not easy to forget. Captain Kaeya.
I sigh, "Seems like it" I said very bluntly. I kept struggling to walk but it's a good thing, I have no where to go, so stalling around Kaeya is a good thing, he'll get bored and walk away-. "What are you doing"
