Zane

I followed sir Kendrick up the stairs. Mrs Libetra was right in front of me and both of them uttered no word.

I could feel that Mrs Libertra was nervous about something, was it something she saw in the new girl?

" There's something I need to tell you dear " Mrs Libertra whispered to her husband a few seconds later.

"Tell me in my office, there's something I need to take to give Master Oscar, that I forgot to bring" sir Kendrick replied.

We reached sir Kendricks office where none of us wasn't allowed to enter, though a spirit once told me how the interior look. He said that it was a large room, filled with various antique things that had belonged to the people who had previously lived in this mansion as well as different kinds of weapons and things needed for dimension travelling.

" You stay here " sir Kendrick ordered me and I stood outside the room while both of them went inside, closing the door behind him.

"There's something unusual about the girl!" I heard Miss Liberta whisper.

I quickly kept my ear close to the door to try to hear the best I could.

"I sensed that too, don't bother I ordered grey to-"

"Hey, Zane!"

I leapt from the floor involuntarily and my heart stopped beating for a second. I looked to my left and saw that it was Natasha coming towards me.

" oh hey, Natasha! did you just arrive? I said forcing a casual tone while taking a step back away from the door straightening my shirt with a fake smile.

Why did she have to come right now, this exact moment? What did they order Mr grey to do to Alora? I wondered anxiously.

"Yup! bringing things from the other dimension is such an exhausting thing to do, it just drains all my energy. I just wish I had a power like yours Zane, it's so simple to live with " she replied tapping my back with a smile.

She is 2 years older than me and I am just grateful to her as she treats me like I'm a family member, which is the opposite of how her mother treats me.

"I heard that Master Oscar came to our dimension, did Aiden come too ? " she asked, removing her ponytail, letting her blond curls touch her shoulders.

"His dad said that he would come later," I said sarcastically

"Why don't you think he will come ..Oh! I can't wait to see him!!!" Natasha giggled excitedly, her arms pumping in the air.

"What's this meeting with Master Oscar,  all about. He usually never attends meetings unless in really urgent " I changed the subject not able to stand any more minutes seeing Natasha fan curling over Aiden.

"Well, my dads going to ask Master Oscar where we could marry, cause I love him so much," she said blushing, avoiding eye contact with me, while my mouth dropped down in shock.

"What! You are gonna marry him" I asked with widened eyes not able to hide how surprised I was.

Okay, this is a really bad idea. I have known Aiden ever since we were little kids but no, Natasha just isn't his type. God knows what he will do if his father approves this proposal from sir Kendrick.

"Why are you silent?" She questioned with a vexed tone, narrowing her eyes with a raised eyebrow.

"I just-just don't think you guys... " I answered anxiously avoiding her eye contact as I  regretted what I said seconds after.

Her face turned red with irritation as she responded controlling her anger "Zane, You know I have liked him ever since we were young and we have been together even before you appeared to this dimension okay! Just mind your own business. Tell me, where's my dad?"

"Inside" I answered back tonelessly looking at the door. I should have just shut up and listened to her. And maybe Aiden could sincerely start to love her, someday.

"What are you doing here anyway," she asked, interrupting my thoughts as she knocked on the door.

"Your dad wanted me to come " I answered back and just then the door opened and both Sir Kendrick and Mrs Libetra came out.

"Hello, dad! " Natasha muttered as she hugged him

"Did you go to the Gilavial dimension dear? I could smell it in you." Sir Kendrick exclaimed his eyes fixed on hers.

"Yeah, well there weren't any yoghurt in the usual dimension we go to, so I had to go there" Natasha clarified.

"Ok dear, then you go rest, your mom and I will be meeting Master Oscar to discuss your and Aiden's future," Sir Kendrick said carrying a black metal box in his hands.

"Zane take this and follow me," he commands handing me the metal box.
