Day 1

The first thing I felt was the wetness in the ground and the sweat underneath my gown. My entire body weighed like a ton, it was even difficult to raise my head. How long have I been here?

My eyelids argued to open, but with time, I slightly managed to move them. The first thing I knew was the fact that I wasn't in the kitchen with my brother anymore. I was somewhere else, I couldn't see anything, it was so dark and silent.I felt that I had my bracelet my dad gave me, still fastened to my left hand wrist. At least I had something from home.

I felt something different about myself, but I was unable to identify what it was, and nevertheless, I looked around the small dark room I was in and noticed a switch, so neglecting the pain in my leg muscles I walked across and turned it on. A dim light dispersed around the small room. At least I could see something now.

'ALEX! ALEX! " I yelled, but the silence was the only response I received.

Where is he? I cried, my eyes filled with hot tears that burnt my cheeks. To imagine the sight of him being alone someplace was making my heart hurt. I am the only person he has.

The room had no windows, only a small bed with a pillow which looked old and dirty, there was also a water basin where its tap was broken and a wooden chair which sitting on it didn't seem practical as it looked like it might break down by a simple force. The walls were black with dirt, and there was dust everywhere.

"How did I get myself here?? And why are there no doors?" who brought me here? Was I kidnapped?" were the thoughts that were revolving around my mind, and I was in desperate need of answers.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!! WHO ARE YOU!!! HELP!!" I shouted again. I was beginning to feel the sweat dripping all over my legs, and my hair all over my face. I had no shoes on thus my feet was covered with dirt.

I looked around again, banged on the walls to see whether it would break down or whether a secret passageway would open, just like in the infinite fantasy books I have read, but I didn't find anything peculiar.

I felt that my energy had drained and longed to sleep, and my stomach wanted something to eat, but my mind wouldn't let me. I desperately needed to find my brother. I hesitantly went towards the dirty bed and straightened out,my sight placed on the ceiling above me.

And to my suprise, I saw some kind of handle attached to the ceiling.
I mechanically hopped out of bed, took the chair, and jumped up to grab the ceiling handle and unlock what looked like a door made out of steel. But unfortunately, the ceiling was so high up that I could barely touch it.

I did numerous attempts to pull the handle, but it was no use, the height of the bed was no use either, and so after some time I was so physically exhausted that I automatically slept on the bed.

"Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

I woke up with a panicked heart.

My eyes automatically turned towards the ceiling and to my shock the ceiling door was open.

I could sence cold air filling the room i was in. I felt relived but scared at the same time.

I jumped out of bed with agitation, my low ponytail moving up in the air like a free bird.

"At last I could get out of here!!!!" I cried with pleasure.

But my happiness was limited only for few seconds as I saw that an individual had appeared and was now looking down at me from above.

To be honest, I didn't know what to do. The person kept staring at me and I couldn't refrain from looking back at him too. I felt myself flush and unable to look at him in the eye after a while.

Is this the person who kidnapped me? He had black eyes that perfectly matched his short hair,he looked the same age as I am or maybe a bit older and something about his stare gave me chills, it was as if he could see through me, read my thoughts and fears, and he then called out, interrupting my thoughts,

"Hey! Want to come up?" A friendly voice said.

I did not feel like he was a bad person, something about his voice made me calm, but appearance and external features is not a good way to judge a persons character.

"Who are you??" I asked, realizing that I had been silent for too long.

"come up, and then I'll tell you," he said while putting down a wooden ladder into the room. The ladder landed perfectly on the floor vertically

"NO! How do I know what you are going to do to me? You are the one who kidnapped me, right? LET ME GO!! AND WHERE IS MY BROTHER??" I yelled at him ,my fear leading my tremling voice.

He shook his face with a smirk his friendliness disappearing away.

"I'm Zane, and I'm not a kidnapper and if you want I could just let you be in this room, got no problem with that-" he said, standing up while pulling out the ladder.

Well, as if 'saying ' that he's not a kidnapper would assure me? But right now he's the only way I might be able to find my brother again.

"WAIT! Is my brother up there with you?" I asked filling all my temper away in an invisible jar FOR NOW.

He looked down at me still holding the ladder, he spoke nothing for a minute or two, and he seemed to be hesitating to answer me.

"PLEASE TELL ME ZANE !! IS HE WITH YOU??..."I pleaded

"yes "he responded rapidly, avoiding eye contact while letting down the ladder.
