Alora

I stood in the empty room for a while, touching my bracelet, every time I touched it reminded me of dad, and I wanted his bravery in me because I felt alone and sad. The coldness I felt seemed to have reduced now but I still felt hungry. I removed my ponytail and let my hair flow down and touch my back, wondering what Zane was doing. Just after few seconds, a figure walked down the stairs hurriedly. It was Mr grey.

I smiled at him and was able to smell his sweat as he came nearer.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting miss. Please do follow me " he said gently in a croaky voice.

I nodded and followed him obediently.

The hallway had dark brown coloured painted walls, which matched perfectly with the wooden floor. There was nothing much hung on the walls except for a huge picture with a golden frame. I paused to look at it and saw that there were three people, two men and one woman, but the top part of the picture was covered by a cloth not allowing to identify the faces of those people.

"Who are the people in this picture?" I questioned looking at Mr grey, who was now already walking up the stairs.

He paused and turned towards me.
" I don't know about that miss, I only follow orders, which is why im still alive -would you care to follow me, miss?" He said impatiently, tapping the floor with his worn-out black shoes.

I hurried behind him What kind of man is he? Doesn't he even care where he is or why he is doing a thing he's ordered?

"Would you like something to eat?" Mr grey asked me just as we entered the first floor.

"Yes, would love to eat right now! " I smiled as the words ran out of my mouth. Maybe he isn't a robotic person after all. Finally, something to eat!

The upper floor was a large rectangular-shaped room with more than five doors, which must be entrances to different rooms and there was also one room which had no door, which I assumed must be the dining room and there was also a staircase to the second floor in the left corner of the first floor.

He turned to the right room and we entered to a huge dining room where there was a long wooden table placed in the middle. I could smell the fried chicken and soup that was served on it.

"I ordered our cook to make this soup for you, miss walker. Please sit down and eat " Mr grey said pulling the chair out of the table for me to sit.

"Thank you," I said as I sat down to please my rumbling stomach.

As I took a sip, I glanced around curiously. There was a huge cupboard that was filled with various kinds of delicate small teacups, plates, cups and metal spoons. The spoon I was holding had tiny flowers marked on it and looked really expensive.

I noticed that Mr grey left the dining room with no word , his hands resting in his pockets. With every sip, I drank the more refreshing I felt and gradually I felt that mysterious coldness within me again.

I stood up, gulping the last bit of soup on the bowl.

"Mr grey?" I called out, stepping out of the kitchen a feeling of dizziness hitting me with every step I took.

I looked around, all the doors were closed and just as I took a step to the nearest door to open it, my legs became numb and I fell onto the floor, my head slamming the wooded floor with a huge thud.

I was unable to open my eyes, my head was exploding with pain and at that moment i felt completely helpless as I stood lying on the floor calling for help eventhough I knew no one would hear my whispers.
