Stoick hastily dodged the giant beast's foot as it came crashing down towards him. Thor on Earth. Astrid was right when she said that they had no idea what they were up against. He just needed to keep this dragon busy so his people could get to the remaining boats.
Gobber accompanied Stoick in busying the beast. They both know that this would probably be it for them. The beast reared its head back, prepared to kill them in one fiery breath. Suddenly a blast hit the back of the beast's head and caused it to turn around to see who the attack was from.
Stoick's eyes widened when he saw all the teens riding dragons. Astrid and Hiccup were sharing the Deadly Nadder, the twins sharing a Zippleback, Fishlegs was riding the Gronkle, and Snotlout riding the Monsterous Nightmare. Where was the Night Fury?
Stoick watched in awe as his own son was ordering them around. He's never seen Hiccup so confident before.
Suddenly the Night Fury appeared at their side. It looked slightly different from what he remembered. Hiccup's face broke out into the widest grin Stoick has ever seen.
"Toothless!" Hiccup shouted. Toothless gave a gummy smile.
"Hiccup! I'm so glad you're here. And also a little concerned that you're trying to go head to head with a small mountain," Toothless exclaimed.
"He does have help!" Astrid responded. Toothless blinked in surprise.
"You can understand me?" Toothless asked.
"She's like me!" Hiccup cut in.
"Nice to meet you Toothless! My name is Astrid" Astrid said. Toothless smiled at her.
"You're Hiccup's mate! He talks about you a lot!" Toothless exclaimed. Hiccup's face turned a concerning amount of red and he began sputtering. Astrid blushed too.
"Toothless she's not my mate!" Hiccup broke in. Toothless did the dragon equivalent of a shrug.
"Hiccup and I are good friends," Astrid agreed. Toothless did the dragon equivalent of a shrug.
With that, Hiccup jumped onto Toothless's back. "Okay, Ruff and Tuff I need you to annoy the queen. Make her mad," Hiccup ordered. The twins nodded and flew towards the queen. "lout and legs I need you to see if this dragon has any blind spots."
Both nodded and also flew towards the dragon.
"What about us?" Astrid asked.
"I need you to help them out. I need to stay away from the queen just for now until I come up with a plan to defeat her. If she figures out who I am I think she might be able to use her powers to force me into my dragon form. She doesn't know you're a dragon too so keep it that way. I'm going to go make sure that the people on the ground are out of the way and into safety," Hiccup responded. Astrid nodded nervously.
"I had no idea that she could force you into your spirit form," Astrid said breathlessly. While she wasn't ashamed of having a dragon spirit form she still wasn't ready for everyone to know.
"Yeah, that's how she captured me. That's the reason I couldn't transform into my human form," Hiccup responded.
"Well good luck," Astrid said. Hiccup smiled.
"Same to you. I'll come to you guys when I have a plan, okay?" Hiccup asked.
"Okay," Astrid nodded. They shared a warm smile before flying away from each other. Toothless scoffed. They were totally mates.
Stoick so focused on making sure his people didn't get hurt that he didn't see the queen's tails hit into a rock pillar that was sending giant rocks towards him. Stoick turned around to see the rocks falling towards him only to be grabbed by someone by his arms.
