"Min Yoongi what is the status on the case" a firm voice brought back the mint-haired officer from his unfazed attention to his screen.

"Sir, We are planning a stakeout in few days, I'll send you the file"

"Sooner the better, keep me posted"

Min Yoongi, a determined and clever police officer, has been assigned this case to catch a notorious gang that is involved in selling illegal drugs. He has been working on the case for a month now and there is no solid evidence to take them in.

Min Yoongi is not one of the guys who will step away from the problem, the more complicated it is more determined he becomes. He is a very ambitious guy. He makes it his life mission to achieve something once he sets his mind on it.

This behavior has been deep-rooted in him due to the circumstances he grew in. Their family struggled to put food on the table, He had to work two jobs to put himself through his education. He tried his best not to be a burden to his parents economically. This made him tough, he worked hard to get into the place where he is now.

Now, he has a stable job, good income, he wanted to provide a good life to his parents who worked hard to make him the man he is now. Their happiness was short-lived, they both passed away peacefully knowing that their son is living a comfortable life now.

Min Yoongi had a very good reputation among his colleagues. He doesn't interact much with anybody but his work spoke volumes. All the cases which he handled were successful. 

This particular case assigned to him is bugging him for some time now. No one knows who is the leader of this group, they are very good at maintaining their anonymity. He knows the risk involved as he took up the case, the gang swept through the city at night targetting people. 

"Yoongi Sunbae, I followed the lead as you asked", Minjae sat beside me, "Info is that they are planning a sell-out meeting at...." he informs the location details to Yoongi.

Minjae is younger than Yoongi, he volunteered to join the investigation along with him as he learned about the case.

"Let's go check the place out and we can plan our stakeout, we have got a good lead now and I don't want to throw it out in the drain." Yoongi picks up his jacket and walks towards his car as Minjae follows him.

They reach the place, it is a small alley between a building and a cafe. The alley runs a little deep, it's very poorly lit, a person walking by wouldn't even notice something going on in there.

Minjae goes inside the building to check the viewpoints of the alley. Yoongi stands in front of the cafe looking at the window on the right side which gives a decent view of the place beside it. It feels like a perfect spot to look out without anyone noticing us Yoongi thought.

As his eyes trailed to check where they can hide, he sees a boy with pink hair serving something to the customer on the table. He froze a minute to take in the beauty of the boy, he's a little shorter than him with a white apron tied around his tiny waist, his eyes forming crescents as he smiles, can he be any more perfect?

"Sunbae !!!", Minjae's voice brought him out of the trance, "There is a corridor view from which we can see what happens here"

"In case the things go south we won't have enough time to track them," Yoongi says looking at the direction his junior pointed.

"There is one more flaw in this plan Sunbae, we are sure about the location but the date is not specified." both the officers walk towards their car.

"I don't want to miss this chance, we'll do it every day till those bastards show up. I am not going to leave them", no progress in the case is irritating Yoongi.

He involuntarily turned back to the cafe hoping he could catch a glimpse of the pink-haired boy. 

They both went back to their precinct. The day passed quickly, Yoongi got up motioning Minjae to follow him, they both headed out to the cafe for their stake-out.

"I'll be in the building Sunbae," Minjae says as they get down at their destination.

Yoongi nodded and walked into the cafe, he realized that there is no one,

"Sorry, we are closed" 

"Just one cup of coffee," I say trying to find a way to extend the time for the mission.

"Here," he said, I look at him, how can a person be so cute.

For a brief moment, Yoongi's thoughts move away from the case, all he is thinking now is about this handsome barista.

Yoongi notices some movement in the alley, he snapped out of his thoughts, he took out some money and placed it on the table, and tiptoed towards the alley. He didn't find anyone there.

Minjae runs towards him, "Did you see him? " Yoongi asks him.

"I didn't see anyone here Sunbae, what happened" 

He definitely saw someone. He was frustrated, only if he was not distracted by that pink-haired boy, he would have seen it more clearly.

He's trouble, Yoongi thought.
