This is a lot longer than my previous oneshot, so please enjoy!

At the studio, Mikasa was the first to arrive. As a principal dancer, she believed that she should be a role model for the other dancers by arriving early and stretching before class.

The studio had wooden flooring which was mopped everyday such that it would squeak under her feet. The walls were mostly mirrors and there were stand alone barres which could be put in the centre or stowed away when the dancers were doing the centre practice. The floor was made of planks of wood since it was the best at absorbing impact when they did their jumps. It was smooth yet there was enough friction to get a grip. Additionally, the studio had the aroma of the fresh lemon and mint scent of air freshener since the room would usually reek of a two week old rotten fish after every class.

After Mikasa, Eren, her fellow principal dancer with dark brown hair tied in a man bun, entered the studio.

"Hey Mikasa."

Mikasa acknowledged him with a nod before arching back in her split. Compared to Mikasa, he started learning ballet at 12 years old while she started at 4 but his passion for the art surpassed Mikasa's by a huge margin, though his technique fell shy of hers.

Another ash brown haired male flung the door open shortly after. As usual, Jean would have his chest puffed and the tiniest smirk.  He and Eren were the only male principal dancers, so naturally they would have a friendly rivalry though Jean was more serious about it.

Sasha and Connie, two of the soloists and the happy virus of the company, radiated energy through the entrance. Naturally, they were called "the dynamic duo" due to their shenanigans and them being inseparable.

"Yo guys! Ready to dance to our hearts content? ☆"

Annie, Reiner and Bertoldt shuffled into the studio. Annie was also a principal dancer with superb technique, however her facial expressions were lacking. Reiner and Bertoldt were both soloists with Sasha and Connie.

Finally, their fearsome ballet master, Levi, strided into the studio.

"Alright brats, we'll be doing another sequence of barre work," he instructed, "and as per normal I'll only mention the sequence once so pay attention."

The routine consisted of the mundane pliés, fondus, developpés and many more basic steps, but they were necessary for warming up their bodies and working on their techniques.

On the surface, Mikasa looked composed while dancing the routine, however thousands of things were running through her mind: tummy tucked, tailbone down, ribs in, shoulder blades down, elbows lifted...

The most nerve wracking thing was Levi walking around to check their technique, his signature glare sculpted by his sharp features.

He turned to Connie, "Your knees aren't straight enough."

To Sasha he spat, "Stop daydreaming!"

Meanwhile, Eren's mind was muddled, "Demi plié, stretch, demi plié... What were the arms again?" While the others moved on to go on relevé, he paused at his preparation. While the others had arched back for their grande port de bras, he was just returning upright.

"Eren what are you doing!" Levi barked.

"I'm a slow learner sir, I'm trying my best,"

"Hurry up and remember it then!"
