reminiscing about Sasha

Surprise surprise! I spontaneously wrote this cos I haven't seen Sasha-protagonist stories that I particularly enjoyed so I decided to make my own!

You got this… Now go! Sasha was determined as she aimed her thunder spear at the Armored Titan.

Out of the blue, the titan rammed its massive fist into the adjacent houses and swung it upwards. Debris flew everywhere like a flock of birds that was forcefully dispersed.

Thwack! A piece of a roof hurled itself onto Sasha's forehead and created a gash. A throbbing pain spread steadily from the wound and blood trickled down her forehead.

"Sasha!" That was the last thing she heard before crumbling onto a pair of arms...

Sasha fluttered her eyes open. "Where am I?" she thought. She was surrounded by an unfamiliar space. Light was radiating from every direction.

"It's okay! You will be fine!" A familiar voice rang out. Sasha whirled around and witnessed an auburn-haired lass gingerly holding onto a smaller hand.

The hand belonged to a little girl with dirty blonde hair who donned a creased pink gown. Hot on their trail was a three metre tall titan with blood from its previous meal dribbling down its chin.

The little girl allowed herself to be dragged along by Sasha. The trauma from watching her dear mother being consumed by a ravenous titan was irrevocable. Conversely, she was eerily calm. Though winsome, layers upon layers of darkness were folded over each other in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Sasha clenched her teeth while running as fast as her legs could carry her. She had hastily grabbed a bow and arrow before escaping the house. On the bright side, there were enough arrows for her to render the titan blind even if she missed. Much to her disadvantage though, this was a moving target. It was highly probable that every arrow would miss. She panted repeatedly, "It's alright, everything will be okay."

"Why do you keep saying everything will be okay?" the girl deadpanned, "everyone knew that my mother's legs were bad but no one helped her,"

Sasha turned to the girl and sighed. She fervently encouraged her to run as fast as she could and promised her that someone would be there to help her if she followed the path. As she drew her bow and arrow, she ordered, "Get running!"

The arrow whizzed through the air and hit the titan's throat. That meant she was one arrow closer to failing to blind the titan.

She decided that the next course of action was to get on the higher part of land. She focused on the titan and released the arrow. Much to her dismay, the arrow barely grazed its ear.

Only... two left, she thought.

Once again, she steadied her bow and arrow.

All it is... is a big… slow moving… target!

The arrow sprung from the bow and shot through the air, lodging itself onto an eye.

With just one arrow left, her chances of hitting the other eye were slimmer than before. Beads of cold sweat appeared on her forehead and she gritted her teeth. Insecurity filled her mind instantly. If she missed, she and that girl would be in danger. If she succeeded, she would save countless lives. For the sake of those lives, she couldn't bring herself to take a gamble.

She tossed the wooden article aside and gripped her final arrow, simultaneously digging crescents into her palm.

Crying out in determination, she charged towards the behemoth. The arrow sunk its cold tip into its eyeball.

However, Sasha didn't expect the titan to wrap its scrawny arms around her. It was going to squeeze the life out of her!

She pushed hard against its jaw and slid down its chest thanks to the blood on it. Escaping at once, the apparition disappeared to look for the girl.

Is this what they call your life flashing before your eyes? Sasha thought.

All of a sudden, some chatter attacked her ears. As it got more shrill in her ears, she groaned, "Sh-shut up!"

She awoke to a sight of several pairs of eyes looking on. "Sasha! Are you okay?" Connie blurted, his forehead creased and eyes glistened with relief.

"Anyone… got some food… I'm kinda… hungry…"

A/n: I know I'm a little late in this "tiding over Sasha's death" thing but who cares? I still reminisce about Sasha's moments very often
