Chapter 2

         The car finally passed a familiar sign.
         "Welcome to faraway!" It read.
         Sunny took a breath in, a breath of the air of a place he forgot. The feeling was as if finding a toy you had lost years ago.
         He looked around. Jack was asleep, snoring quietly. And Sunny's mom was fiercely focused on the road.
         Sunny was filled with anxious thoughts, what if Basil forgot about him? What if Basil hates him? What if Basil moved? What if hes dead?

         Sunny's mom parked the car at the super market.
         "Now you two go to the park while i get dinner. Sunny show Jack the way." Sunny's mom unlocked the car doors and got out.
         When they arrived at the park, Sunny remembered good times he had spent here.
         The park seemed empty though, until Sunny heard a voice that was familiar to him. Kel.
         Kel was playing basketball in the distance, hero watching. Kel was much taller than the last time they saw each other, Hero looked pretty much the same though.
         "Do you know them?" Jack asked.
         "Uh, yeah. That's Kel and Hero." Sunny pointed to them as he said their names.
         "Go talk to them then!"
         "No! i haven't for like, a year, that's a lifetime in a town like faraway!"
         "So?"
         "They probably hate me. Last time we met i barely spoke."
         "Fine, I'll do it pussy."
         Jack walked towards the basketball court.
         Sunny couldn't tell what was going on or what they were saying, but kel came running directly at sunny.
         Was this the end? Sunny felt his life flash before his eyes... he knew what was coming...
A big hug. Kel wrapped his arms so tightly around Sunny that it was hard to breathe.
         "SUNNY!!!" Kel was sizzling with joy.
         As he was let go, Sunny smiled and caught his breath.
         But then he started to worry again.
         "Wheres basil?" Sunny asked.
         "At his house of course." Kel smiled.
         "Is Hero still mad at me?"
         "Well..."
         "Oh."
         "Its ok... he just... he'll leave you alone."
         Sunny's heart sank to the floor.
         "Ok lets go to Basil's house dumbass we cant wait here all day!" and Jack tugged Sunny's arm away as sunny sank into his sadness.
