Chapter 54- The End

"Lucy Dragneel gives birth to a daughter who will inherit all of the Dragneel's fortune"

"Natsu Dragneel's daughter is born last night, will the richest man in Magnolia take a break from the business world?"

My head was throbbing when I got up this morning but these were the headlines that immediately popped up on my phone. This was an issue I hadn't considered before, the public would have no business being in our daughter's life- we wouldn't allow it. I also never fully realized how successful Dragneel Corps had gotten until I saw that Natsu was indeed the richest man in Magnolia. I'm glad his wealth and fame hadn't changed him although he does claim that he isn't the richest because I'm richer. I'm actually not but he has put so many properties and money under my name since he says that we're a team and without me, he wouldn't be that successful so he's just giving me my "share". Honestly, between us, we don't bicker too much about the finances since we both earn enough on our own but it's always shocking when people are surprised that I'm not snobby or that Natsu doesn't have a thousand wives. 

Natsu had been right, we did have a daughter who had Natsu's salmon hair and she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. I was in the hospital bed after going into labor last night. Natsu and I had just finished taking a walk in the park when I started feeling the cramps. When my water broke, Natsu had driven us to Magnolia's best hospital and I gave birth to Nashi at 11 PM. He was lucky he didn't get a speeding ticket but it was like Natsu was the one giving birth, I only felt myself getting lifted to the car and the next thing I knew, I was already in the hospital bed.

I had caught a glimpse of Nashi and held her in my arms but I was far too exhausted to stay awake, I remembered dozing off and just now waking up.

I looked at my surroundings and I hadn't noticed that I was in the most secluded and largest room in the hospital with gorgeous plants- it didn't feel the least bit like a hospital room.

"Luce, you're awake." I felt Natsu stir beside me. He had fallen asleep over the bed by my side and it looked like he had gotten no sleep. His hair was tangled and there were dark circles under his handsome onyx eyes.

"Where's Nashi?" I asked as Natsu adjusted my pillow so I was sitting upright against it.

"She's in the nursery room, we can go see her once you get your strength back." Natsu kissed me on the forehead, murmuring his words. I was more tired than I thought and I could feel the dried-up sweat that stuck my hair to my face.

"I feel disgusting Natsu," I stated, pushing Natsu away when he came in for a kiss.

"I was so scared, Luce. You were in so much pain and I couldn't do anything." Natsu confessed before kissing me hard on the lips. My body yearned for his touch and Natsu was now hovering over me. It warmed me knowing that Natsu was there the entire time, his gentle squeezes on my hand urged me to continue and keep pushing.

"Natsu, thank you." I breathed out between kisses. His lips were so soft and I was happy that everything was over now. I bit on Natsu's lips and tugged them with my teeth, gently sliding my tongue in his and tangling my hands in his hair. He pulled me closer and kissed me all over my face. Natsu lay beside me now on the hospital bed, running circles with his hand along my arm. We were both exhausted and I knew he had probably been up the entire night.

"Natsu, get some sleep. I bet you were up all nig-"

"Mr. Dragneel, I'm afraid Ms.Dragneel will need her rest and we have to run some tests so we're going to have to ask you to leave the bed." I blushed 50 shades of red and hid behind Natsu's shoulder when I heard the doctor.

"Take care of her doc." Natsu smiled at me before hardening his tone towards the doctor. Poor guy, he was always timid when Natsu was around and I don't blame him, Natsu made it clear that he didn't tolerate errors.
