"It's really wonderful of you on offering to help out." After informing his parents of the people who were going to take the place of camp counselors, Ishi had to deal with their excitement that an idol had offer her services. In fact, they seemed a little to happy to hear that he ended up inviting mostly just girls outside of his best friend. "I'm sure you have a busy schedule, so thanks so much for giving some of your free time for us."
"I'm always happy to help out." Rinse responded. "Especially for someone like Ishi." She really knew how to say the right words to get the best reactions out of people. Something like that would make them believe that their son had a chance with her. Funny enough, that was the absolute truth, but the idol was concerned about her own chances with the boy.
"I wonder when the others are going to get here?" Said Ishi, while checking on the time. They'd need to be going pretty soon to not be late. "Koto's already gone to the school to take the bus with the rest of the students." The younger boy wanted to ride with his family, if only so that he could also be taking the trip with Rinse. Of course that desire was prevented as he was encouraged to join the rest of his peers to gain more social skills.
After saying that, his other friends began to slowly trickle in. For once, Otoya was early compared to everyone else, as he had a good reason to get there as soon as he could. Shortly after that, Youna and Chinae came along. Only Ryugi ran late, because that girl ended up sleeping in and nearly forgot about her promise.
"Can you please take this seriously?" Ishi scolded the gyaru as she arrived. The girl was also slowed down by taking way too much stuff with her for the trip. "And you're going to have to leave some stuff behind, there's no room for all this in the van." Bitterly, she was forced to drop off things such as makeup and electronics at his house as they took only the bare essentials.
"Gosh, you really want me to suffer this weekend, don't you?" She complained as they got their bags packed into the back of the van.
"You were the one who offered to come along." He countered, unfazed by the attitude she had given him his entire high school life. "All right, let's get in the van and on with our trip." It wasn't a long drive, but this was helpful so that they wouldn't need to carry their luggage on foot.
"Where are you sitting?" Rinse asked, her intentions were clear in that she desired a spot by him.
"Shotgun." He answered simply. That wasn't what any of them outside of Otoya wanted to hear. "Obviously I'm going to sit with my parents."
"What are you, five?" Chinae insulted him after hearing his reasons. It didn't really matter to her why he chose that spot. She just wanted to find something to insult his reasons with to get the boy to change his mind. "You want your mommy and daddy to keep you safe?"
"It makes perfect sense. It's not like any of you care about sitting with my parents." He didn't bite her bait, so he didn't back down. "Relax, Otoya's not going to doing anything weird with you girls."
"Wait a second, I'm not an animal." His friend took some offense to that statement. However, his presence was ignored by everyone there, including Ishi.
"Then how about you switch places with with him then?" Ryugi came up with an offer to get him to change his mind. "He's your best friend, so give him the best spot."
"Not to him it isn't." He knew that boy too well. The best spot to him was one that had a bunch of cute girls in close proximity. "Why are you all so desperate to force me to the back?"
"Ishi." His mom butted her head into their conversation. "You should be taking this opportunity to get to know all these beautiful young ladies." Her main reason really killed him on the inside. "Plus, they were kind enough to take time out of their schedules to help us out. The least you can do is accept one of their requests."
