note: Guess what. It's because Xiao had a yandere playlist that I'm doing this. ————————————————————

"He was"
Wangshu inn... It felt relaxing to just be back to a place with a comfortable bed, and yummy, yummy food, and once they were in a place secluded enough, they'd bring out the teapot and enter a vast and humble abode.
"Teapot sweet teapot~" Y/n felt their knees give out on the bed, arms spread as if they were making an angel. It was comfy, the way it hugged their figure as if to devour them to pillow land. Aether smiled at the sight, sitting right beside where they laid, patting their head lovingly. He was happy that Y/n was still with him, that he truly was not alone in his journey to find his twin sister. The pain he'd feel when even this little sibling of his disappears... it pained Aether to think of the possibilities.
Slowly, Y/n leaned towards his body, head slowly moving to fill in the space on top of his lap, hands wrapping around his waist as Aether played with their hair. At times like this, relinquishing in the arms of their kin made Aether happy, though it felt incomplete. No one was running through their hair, the hands of their sister not present in these times of hardship...
"We'll find sister right?" Aether looked down at Y/n with a solemn smile, hearing the language only the three can understand in this world they were trapped in. "Yes. We will... then we'll go home together."
Y/n liked that.
Every day was like that— a day of commissions, hard work, requests, and finally rest. They've been doing it for quite sometime, well- until they find themselves on the Islands of Inazuma, or tangled in the chasm mystery. Y/n went outside soon enough to find a few ingredients, thinking about their brother's cooking with a smile on their face. It motivated them after all. Just as they left leave the teapot, striking gold eyes appeared, making Y/n flinch in surprise.
Xiao looked different. The horns, the fox-like eyes, the smirk... Y/n felt his arm at their waist, and the other gripping their chin.
"G-greetings, Yaksha," Y/n greeted, hands by their own chest. "Y/n..."
Now, Y/n saw the other details of their location. There was no one to be found, and Verr Goldet's desk is empty. The cat and dog that lived here were also gone. "W-where's boss?" Y/n shivered feeling his hand caress their cheek.
"Y/n I have a game I want to play..."
This was an odd night, and an off one at that. The yaksha? The ever so cold and serious conquerer of demons is asking for a game? That's a new one... and yet his eyes looked serious, yet cunning.
