The minute she was back at work, Sakura made a beeline for Ino's office, walking as a woman with purpose. She strode right in the door, seeing her friend working away at her desk, closed the door, and pressed her back against it. Their gazes met briefly; Sakura's face was ten shades of red, slowly darkening bit by bit as she stared at Ino.
Ino's face was puzzled for a moment, then turned curious as Sakura's expression was changing. It quickly turned into a smirk, leading to her leaning forward expectantly, hands folded as she waited for an answer.
"Sasuke just undressed me with his eyes." Sakura's words were blunt, filling the silence that was in the room. Ino's face was shocked, then quickly turned to loud, obnoxious laughter as she threw her head back, unable to contain herself. She laughed so hard that her chair tilted back, flipping over backwards as the blonde's legs were momentarily up in the air. If it weren't for the fact that she was laughed at, Sakura would have been concerned for her friend.
"It's not as funny as you think, you raunchy pig!" Sakura said defensively with her fists at her sides. She stamped her foot like a child, feeling her face heat up even more with Ino's laughter. Her words only caused Ino to laugh even harder, rolling from behind the desk and crawling around the side. She sat on the floor, tears streaming down her face as she couldn't contain herself. Goodness, her friend was such a pig sometimes. On the one hand, it made her a good source for advice, but on the other hand, she could be such a pain about it.
"So he just like... you know..." Ino mimicked the way Sasuke's gaze had raked across her from head to toe. She could almost feel the sensation of it again as her friend demonstrated.
"Yes. And you know what he said? You know what--no. I'm not telling you what he said until you're sitting on this goddamned couch because you're going to laugh until you suffocate. And that will bring me greater joy than your laughter," Sakura replied indignantly, crossing her arms and huffing as she took a seat. Ino stumbled to her feet and wiped tears from her eyes as she sat down on the couch, waiting.
"You know, I'd say I promise not to laugh, but you know I can't make that promise," Ino said honestly. "What did he say?"
"Okay, well, you know how last night we went to the bar, right? And I told you about how all the girls were just all over him, couldn't keep their hands off him no matter how hard he tried? This morning he was running late to the crime scene, so I took the opportunity to tease him. I asked him if he had to drop off a hot girl that was in his back seat or something. You know, just a little rapport, banter, because I knew that wasn't what he was doing at all. He's just a grumpy riser in the morning, so he probably took his time getting out of bed because he hates getting up early." Sakura shifted awkwardly in her seat, dreading the next part. Oh, Ino was going to lose it after this part.
"So I asked him what she looked like, because he's obviously trying to dodge the question, and he looked me up and down and was like, 'oh, five foot three, petite, adorable, about a C-cup,' and then he's like, 'looks good in lingerie and a towel.' " Sakura turned her gaze on Ino, her expression flat as her hands were covering her chest. "I'm a C, Ino. I'm a C! And he--he's seen me in lingerie, and he's seen me in nothing more than a towel, too!" Her voice had raised at least an octave, her face turning ten shades of red before she buried her hands in it. Oh lord, he'd embarrassed her beyond belief, and the fact that Ino was roaring with laughter didn't help.
"Wait, hold on," Ino said between giggles, trying to maintain her composure. "So the lingerie thing I know about, but the towel thing... you mean he's seen you like that, and you haven't jumped his bones yet?" Ino was shocked.
"No, I--we haven't," Sakura said, her shoulders dropping. Why did that fact seem upsetting? "Should we have?" She asked suddenly, looking to her friend for advice. Sakura was in unknown territory when it came to that sort of thing. Did he not want to do that with her? Was he just not all that into sex? There were so many possible questions as to why he hadn't made that move on her yet. It wasn't like he didn't imply it... or rather, he'd suggested it earlier in the day to her. Maybe he wanted to, but he wasn't sure how to go about it, or perhaps it wasn't the right time.
