When I wake up it's in my bed, in my bedroom at Scott's house. I stir slowly until I'm coming back to the land of the living completely.
Unlike my cousin Scott, who is dead to the world next to me, his hand is clutching mine tightly, his face scrunched up but not softly like it usually is.
I stroke his hair slowly whispering sweet nothings and reassuring messages until his face softens and his grip lessens. I can tell the boy is tense and scared but I can't blame him anyone would be in this situation.
I slowly get out of bed not wanting to wake the werewolf up, he deserves some more sleep and it's only 6:30 he has enough time to get ready. Usually, I would tell him that we can be late today but we're getting our tests back today so we can't skip.
I creep downstairs slowly not wanting to wake anyone in my house up. I go straight into the kitchen making myself some strong coffee to help me get through today as I am running on little to no sleep.
I scroll through my phone opening messages from Diego and Shannon who are waffling on about their lives I reply to them like usual but what stands out is a message from the younger argent.
Even though it's normal for her to message me it's not usually about this type of thing.
From Allison: Sof, the weirdest thing happened, and I know it's currently 2:00 am so I don't expect you to see this until morning, but my dad just left the house to pick up my Aunty, but something was wrong he was too jittery. I don't know why I'm telling you this well I do, because I don't know many people and I trust you but... something feels wrong.
I read the message over a couple of times not knowing how to respond to that, I may not know a lot about Allison, but I've figured this much out.
She rambles when she's uncomfortable or somethings wrong. I think over my message before writing it slowly, making sure I say the right thing without giving away anything.
To Allison: Huh, that is weird why would he be awake at 2:00 in the morning anyway. You're right something does seem off but at the same time it could be nothing and you're overthinking it. If anything, else happens tell me, we can talk about it at school.
Satisfied with my message I go upstairs to get ready for the day waking Scott up in the process with a warm mug of coffee what a great cousin I am.
After waking the grumpy puppy, I get in the shower waking myself up even more and not going to lie I feel gross and sweaty from the night before so getting clean was the first thing on my mind this morning other than coffee but that one's obvious.
I get out the shower putting on my silk robe and brushing my teeth at the same time because of course I'm running late like usual. Once I'm down I shoo Scott out of my room so I can get changed and so he can get ready.
I put on a grey body suit that is long sleeved but has the shoulders cut out and is slightly lower so you can see a little bit of cleavage. I wear some blue denim shorts as it's hotter today and I match it with a black belt.
