I started snapping quick pics for my IG before I left to run errands.

"yes Lo, this it" I said gassing myself before posting to my feed. This was a daily thing if I'm not working or doing my online classes or filming or designing. I would always get fly and make mandatory Target, Ross, Michael's, and etc. runs. Lol I'm always finding new ways to spend money shopping for shit I don't need but I always throw some shit together and flick it up before I leave.

I'm Halo Oluremi Cymoné McKenna and I am 23. I'm Hawaiian and Black and was born and raised in Harlem, New York. I was adopted when I was 13 after losing my mom to domestic violence, in which my biological sperm donor was the cause.

I hate even having to briefly address my history but it contributes to my story. I'm so glad I went through those things to a certain extent because I have the most supportive parents and siblings in the world now. I couldn't imagine my success without them and my traumatic childhood because I was kind of like a rose that grew out of concrete.

I currently live in a opulent condo on the West side of Harlem alone. I have multiple different incomes at the moment because I hate sitting down and focusing on one thing so I'm always busy. I vlog and post reviews on my YouTube channel. I started that at the beginning of my college experience just to prepare freshmen and to give my perspective and advice and it took off from there. I became quite known unintentionally and that's one of my favorite things to do because it lead me to becoming consistent with my interests in fashion (clothes and interior designing). I also attend NYC college online for a business degree.

I love everything I have going on but it does get time consuming because they all require a lot of attention which takes away from me going out so my free time is naps and shopping.

Enough about my hectic ass life.

I grabbed my keys off the rack and my umbrella because it looked really ugly outside and I couldn't stand rain. Yesterday was just wash day so I couldn't get my long black hair wet because I did not have time to tame my mane again lol.

I got in my GLC-Class coupe and hooked up my phone to the Bluetooth and made my way to Starbucks first.

As I was leaving target my mom, Angie McKenna, was calling. "Hi ma" I said answering. "Hey baby girl, I was calling to see if you can swing by the place with jerk chicken and oxtail, dad is getting on my nerves about it" she replied. "Of course moma. You want the same as last time I'll go now." I did a Uturn and made my way to East Harlem to this fire ass spot that has the best food. "Yes thanks baby, I'll pay you when you get here be safe love ya." Before I could even respond she hung up. "Damn she just knew I would do it" I said aloud to no one.

As I made it to the place, I noticed that there was block party on the same street. "Shit, why did I agree to this" I whispered to myself.

I parked and grabbed my mace and Glock 43 and got out. I know there was a matter of time before someone fucked the vibes up out here because they couldn't act right. I loved the East but that's why I moved. It became overwhelming but I couldn't pass up visiting the folks out here, I was comfortable but always cautious out here.

When I walked into Auntie Dee's, a Jamaican restaurant, there was a few people waiting in line and sitting waiting on their names to be called. I just got behind the last person and thought of what I was going to add to my parents' order.

After placing our orders, I sat down at a booth and answered my emails. There were always brand deals and meetings and consultants I had to do or reply to so I checked my email simultaneously.

I heard the owner Deelisha call my name meaning my food was done so I got up ready to fly to my parents house to eat.

"Hey Lo, how you doing sweetheart if I knew you were here I would've put it on the house" Dee said.

I went around the counter and gave her a big hug. She was one of my favorite elders, because she always looked out for the community and me. She was my biological mom Heather, Bestfriend. She always kept in contact and kept me fed and I always remembered that.

"It's okay auntie, I appreciate you. I see you guys are doing it up ova here." I replied. "Girl these crazy folk. They need to go home and chill because we all know how that will turn out. Sweet pea I'm having a big ol' dinner next week Thursday and you have to do me a fun sundress and come out and eat. I know this is short notice so if you can't that's fine but you better come eat." She said pointed her finger at me. "I will be there auntie and I'll call later for the colors." I assured her. "Thanks Lo. I'll talk to you later be safe now. Love you pea." "I love you too Auntie. See ya." I replied hugging and walking out.

On my way out someone on the outside opened the door and I stopped and backed up so they can come inside. I looked up and got super flushed and nervous.

We stared at each other before he licked his lips and smiled. "You good luv? I'm holding it for you." He said. I finally registered what he said and said thank you and walked out. He just chuckled and we made eye contact once again before I power walked to my car.

I got in and let out a deep breath and started my car. I had to hurry before the food was cold. But damn, Savior Rose. Also known as King was so damn fine. Men come with too much but he was so fun to look at. I always run into him when I go to Deelisha's spot and that's how I knew of him, besides what the streets say. I know he's a very feared man but the few times we had brief encounters and they were never rude like people said he was.

As I got my mind off how awkward I was after running into King, I was pulling into my parents gated mansion. My mom is a general surgeon at the biggest hospital in Harlem. While dad was a entrepreneur, and had his hands in many things. I'm so proud of them because even my siblings (their biological kids) were doing well. My sister Callie and brother Cameron were twins in their last semester of senior year at a private high school in Harlem. They both had many offers to the best schools and also worked good jobs outside of it.

Walking into the house. I took off my shoes and dropped my keys on the table in the mud room and yelled for my parents. "In the back Baby" my dad shouted. I was so ready to eat!
