After making sure that she was okay to walk, Normani carried Halle on her back as her and Chloe made their way back to the visitor's center – which was now deserted. A large sign that read, "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth...", drooped overhead. They all entered the building, looking around in search for any sign of life.

"Hello!?" Normani called out.

No one answered. Chloe remained by her side as Halle held on to her. The three of them came into the center's restaurant before Normani did a careful job of setting Halle in a nearby chair at one of the tables. Chloe sat next to her.

"Okay..." Normani said, "...I'm gonna try to find the others. Chloe, will you look after your sister until I get back?"

Chloe nodded her head, fear laced in her facial features as her eyes never left Normani's. The ebony smiled before taking her hand.

"It's okay," she assured her. "You guys are safe here. I promise, I'll be back soon."

She smiled at the girls before making her way out of the visitor's center. Chloe and Halle watched as the ebony's silhouette got smaller and smaller until she was no longer seen. All was quiet for a minute as the two just looked at each other. Halle looked across the room before a smile erupted on her face. She got up and limped her way over to an all-you-can-eat buffet table before piling some food on a tray. She brought it back to the table, offering some to her sister. Chloe smiled before digging in, only for her hand to freeze. Halle eyed her worriedly before turning around to look where she was looking, putting her hand over her mouth as she saw the silhouette of a raptor moving in the lobby.

Chloe wasted no time in grabbing Halle's hand and rushing their way to a metal door that led to the kitchen. She closed the door behind them, but there was no lock. She reached for the panel of light switches to kill all the lights before helping Halle down an aisle to hide at the end of it. They saw the raptor's head pop into view through the round window in the middle of the kitchen door. It just looked for a moment, its breath steaming up the window. The raptor, then, zoned in on a part of Halle that wasn't entirely hidden by the counter. The sisters remained frozen in their spot as they heard the monster sniff at the bottom of the door, then thumping its head against it.

The raptor stared down at the door handle, cocking its head curiously. It snarled and bumped the door handle with its head, but that didn't do anything. Instead, it reached out toward the handle with one clawed hand. Chloe and Halle stared in shock as the door handle started to turn. Before they knew it, the door opened. The first raptor stood in the doorway, drawing itself up to its full height, and looked around the kitchen. Much to their dismay, a second raptor joined the first in the doorway. The both of them moved further into the kitchen, brushing against each other. This caused the first raptor to snap at the second, as if it was yelling at the other to keep their distance. The two raptors then split up, taking two different aisles. Chloe and Halle crawled away - Halle still very weak - down a third aisle and around the other side of the counter from the raptors, moving in the opposite direction. As the two of them passed the raptors, one of their tails smacked into some pots and pans, knocking them off the counter. They fell on the girls, who, by some miracle, happened to keep themselves from screeching. They kept moving as one of the raptors dipped down, looking through an open cabinet to inspect the racket.

They reached the end of the aisle and around a corner, but Halle fell behind as she accidentally brushed against some hanging kitchen utensils. The commotion caused both raptors to turn, one jumping on to the counter and knocking more kitchen stuff to the floor. A ladle clattered to a stop, and the strange metallic sounds confused the raptors for a moment. But it didn't take them long to start moving again, this time in Halle's direction. The raptor on the floor was just about to turn the corner to where she sat, exposed and exhausted, when they suddenly stopped to hear a clicking sound from the other end of the aisle.
