Tammy's POV

I slowly walked towards them and held out my hand, not because I wanted to but because I thought it would be rude not to and I learnt that first impression was everything. Instead of simply shaking my hand my new "mum" pushed me into a tight uncomfortable hug. I felt so suffocated and pushed away as fast as I could. She looked hurt as I pushed away, I immediately felt guilty but didn't try for another one. Max stayed close behind me holding on to the hem if my black tank top, whilst slowly sucking his thumb as we walked outside, not having time to say our goodbyes. As we walked out I felt a single teardrop slide down my face but I wiped it away quickly before Max saw. I had to be strong!! If not for me then for Max! I kept repeating to myself. I was so caught up in my thoughts that it took me a while we were driving in a chauffeur driven Mercedes! I could hear my heart pounding in my ear, its sound like strong eagles hitting their wings together. I traced my figures along the beautiful chair. Max looked a mixture of feeling, excitement, curiosity, And worst of all fear.

We pulled up to a pair of white gates with gold points. I couldn't tell wether it was real gold or fake. Dad jumped out of the car and put in a password that was at the side of the gate. As he finished putting in a pin number the gate swung open and we drove inside with Dad following behind. I gasped as we approached a beautiful, white mansion, with a beautiful swan fountain right outside it. Their was also Rose bushes growing on either side of the wall. They were as White as snow, whiter if possible. I decided then and there that White roses were now my favourite flowers in the world. I quickly hopped out of the car to get a better look. My oh my!!! This was outstanding! I turned back to see dad walking back to the car as the man scrolled down the window. Dad said his thanks, tapped the top of the car before it drove out. Wait a second. I didn't see him pay the man. It couldn't have been for free, could it??

I slowly walked over to "Dad" and tapped him on the shoulder. He quickly turned towards me, damn! I must have scared him. I giggled to myself before coming back to realisation. 'Oh, um, sorry.. I didn't mean to… Umm - " he raised his hand to cut me of and told not to worry. 'yh, right I just wanted to um..' Crap I forgot!! I squinted my eyes trying to remember. 'it's okay, I forget lots of things too,' he said chuckling to himself. Ahh I remember now! 'yes I wanted to ask why you did not pay the taxi driver?' wow I was shocked at myself, I am hardly ever nervous especially around adults.. ' well I give the company my credit card details and at the end of every month they take the money I owe them so I don't need to keep so much cash in my wallet.' oh of course.. 'anyway come on let's go inside.'

We walked towards another door which used a password as well as a key. As we walled in the hall way I could see modern day paintings hung upon the cream wall. As we walked through we came to a spectacular lounge room. The room was a mixture of white and black.

We were then shown to a cream and lilac kitchen. There was a white marble counter with lilac stools and a lilac fridge.

I could tell Max loved this kitchen even though it was lilac and he had always claimed he was the manliest man there could ever be. Max roughly jumped up onto a stool.

'Max! Please be careful.' I hissed

'Hah, it's okay, honestly. So would you guys like some milk and cookies?' Mum replied 'yes Please!!' Max screams. Boy I had never seen him so excited before. We never used to get much treats at the 'Place' I've decided I no longer liked the word Orphanage so I thought I would replace it with something nicer.

'What about you Tammy? What would you like? Juice, water, crisps. You name it. ' hmm I was starving but I didn't want to seem like I ate too much food invade they didn't want me so I just told them that I wasn't hungry.

After Max had finish gobbling down his milk and cookies we were shown to the bedrooms. Max's room was first to be seen.

His room was amazing. His walls were the colour of blood, and the floors were wood. I suppose that was a good choice as he would probably spill his drinks at night.

He has beautiful bed in the shape of a race car with black sheets. I suppose Mrs Mary-Anne must have told them about his night terrors and bed wetting problems.

He would sometimes come into my dorm at night as when he slept with me he never had nightmares. I would have let him sleep in my room every night if I could but we sometimes got caught and he would be sent back and I got extra work me being older and all.

'We made this ourselves, do you like it Max?' Mum said grinning her but off like it's going out of fashion. 'yup yup yup yup!! ' he replied loudly whilst popping the p's each time.

It was kind of an obvious question through, I mean u could literally see the sparkles in his eyes!

'Well, if you like this then you will love the playroom we made for you next door.'

Before we could even blink Max was already at the door rushing to see his play room. We walked slowly behind him and into the playroom. The playroom was baby blue and also had wooden floors. Written on the wall in big bright gold lettering wrote Maxamillion but the 'amillion' was slightly smaller that the rest of the words. Max immediately started playing with a football. 'umm..wouldn't that break the window if he kicked the ball to hard?' I asked trying to be polite.

'No dear, all the windows are super strong and bullet proof,' wow I wonder how much that would cost.

'Right, lets leave Max to it and see your bedroom, eh Tammy?' Said Dad looking at me with deep excitement in his eyes. You would've thought it was his room that we were visiting!

We left Max in the playroom by himself. I don't think he even noticed we had left, he was to busy exploring all his new toys.

We stopped when we got outside to the door of my bedroom. 'Right, Tammy, we put your room on the same floor as Max because we know he has... sleeping problems.. And I thought it would be better if he had someone on his floor.. Instead of us we thought we would put you on the same floor as he would probably be more comfortable coming to sleep in your bedroom if he got to scared. I hope thats all right with you?'                          ' Oh, sure, thats fine,' I replied. I really didn't mind. We stared at the door for a while,' so, are we just going to stand here like chickens all day or enter the bedroom?' Dad said, breaking the uncomfortable silence. I slowly opened the door and froze.
