School was fun. I couldn't believe it had only been only 3 months since I moved from the orphanage! I had a boyfriend named Cole, who was like the hottest guy in school, I had great friends that I went shopping with and I most defiantly had an enemy. Her name was Selena, she was such a cow, always giving me glares and saying spiteful stuff about me. Its not like I did anything to her on purpose, but I think it could be the fact that my family was richer than hers. I don't rub it in her face though cause I'm just not that type of person. But she sure would have deserve it

Mum and Dad called us into dads office for a family meeting. The only ever time we've had a family meeting was when Mums Mum died of old age, I didn't really feel much sadness then because to be honest I hardly knew the woman, I could sense this meeting wouldn't be good though.
"Right take a seat children your father and I have something we need to tell you." she said in a small voice.
Father cleared his throat and spoke words that imprinted into my memory for ever, "Son, Daughter," He took a deep breath, "Your Mother has cancer."

Coping with the cancer was hard, trying explain the cancer to Max was harder, but the hardest of all was trying to be strong. Max didn't really understand what was happening to Mum, but I did. I saw when I would come into
the kitchen in the morning unnoticed she would be fiddling with the last bits of hair as it day by day was slowly falling off, but as soon as mum noticed me in the room she would plaster on that fake smile of hers. That fake smile I hated so much, it made her look small and venerable, I hated it. And when she would wipe the small tears in her eyes with the palm of her hands. It was so heartbreaking to see. Even though me and my Mother only knew each other for 3 months we had created a bond, a bond no one els has taken the time to form with me, she took me shopping for new clothes, bought me the latest bags, we would even go on little weekend holidays and miss a Monday of school. We would often go to Paris or Niece in France, sometimes Barcelona, just the two off us.
Every time I looked at the picture on the wall after Mum died it used to make me smile.
It was a photo taken a week before my Mothers death, instead of staying at the hospital all the time she decided to live her last weeks on holiday with her family, our family, the photo was of me and mum in bikinis sipping none alcoholic cocktails in Dubai, we were sitting on the sand laughing about something funny that Max said. I missed mum.

Thats it. We've lost our house our furniture, everything. All we have left are our personal things such as photos, mine and my mothers jewelry ect.
This happened all because of Dad. After mum died Dad developed a drinking problem and soon after a gambling one too. It started small at first just a couple quid, then it grew to expensive watches and mens jewelry but never anything of mothers old stuff. Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost but then came this one time, he gambled everything, as in all the money, he lost, but he was dared if he gambled again and won he would get his stuff back if he lost he would lose his house as well, again he lost, but he was again challenged that if he won he could
get his stuff back if he lost he loses his furniture also, dad thinking he couldn't lose three times in a row thought wrong as he lost again.
So house-less, furniture less, jobless (due to the fact he was drinking at work) and penniless left dad no choice but to go and find a job that provides a flat.
Whilst dad looked for jobs we stayed at his friends house. But it wasn't long till dad found a job at a kebab place that provided a small flat right above the shop. The flat was nothing like we were used to, there was one double bed, a sofa, and a small television all cramped into one room with a wardrobe on the far corner of the room and a miniature sized bathroom with a shower in one corner a toilet in the other and a sink in-between them.
This was it, this was our new home. I hated it..
