Y/n woke up with a huge smile plastered on her face. Today was her birthday, and she went downstairs to see what her parents had gotten her. Her parents weren't there though. She saw a stack of pancakes, a gift, and a note. The note stated that both of her parents got called in early, and to have a good birthday.

Y/n opened the gift which was new skates. She smiled, and put them in her hockey bag, and ate the pancakes. She grabbed her backpack, and hockey bag and started heading towards school. 

Y/n expected to be greeted with a lot of 'Happy Birthdays' when she got to school, but that was not the case. Her first period she was with Charlie, Adam, and Julie and none of them wished her a Happy Birthday. 

Y/n was upset, she had thought they all forgot today was her birthday. It wasn't just Charlie, Adam, and Julie who forgot. It seemed like the whole team forgot. When she had art with Connie and Goldberg, they didn't even acknowledge today was Y/n's birthday! It was weird since she knew Connie and Goldberg since she was really young. 

Finally it was time for practice, and by this point, Y/n was really annoyed. She walked into the locker room, and started getting dressed in her jersey. She decided to put on her new skates, and Averman had the audacity to ask, "Y/n! Are those new skates?"

"Yes Averman," Y/n stated in a rude tone. "They are." 

She left the locker room, as used her anger to do very well at practice today. She could tell that Coach Orion was impressed. When he told everyone that practice was over, he called Y/n over. She skated over to her coach, getting ready to receive feedback. 

"You did great out there today, Y/n" He starts saying, and he goes into a whole conversation how she needs to use this energy when they play their rival school Friday. Y/n thanks Coach Orion, and starts to skate towards the locker room when he calls her name. "Y/n! Happy Birthday by the way."

She smiles since other than her parents he was the only one who remember. She started heading to the locker room, and as she got closer she realized the lights were off. She groaned as she thought Charlie may have thought everyone left, and turned off the lights. She walked in, and the lights flickered on.

"Surprise!" It was the whole team. They had decorated the locker room, and Goldberg was holding a cake. 

"I thought you all forgot!" Y/n told them as Connie and Julie went up to hug Y/n. 

"You should've seen the anger on your face when I asked about your skates!" Averman laughed, and Y/n rolled her eyes and then laughed as well. She should've known the team would pull something like this. 

"Now come on!" Charlie yelled, "Let's go celebrate somewhere else other than the dirty locker room!"

I finally got a chapter out! I'm sorry this is so short, I've been so busy lately, and I just got my new computer set up. I made this chapter since my birthday was two days ago, and if your birthday is today... Happy Birthday! There is a request chapter that should come out either tonight or tomorrow.
