The birds still chirped in the mornings. Nature being the only thing those creatures seem to not hate. Only humans. Like they were a plague on the earth and made a personal mission to have their entire existence eliminated.

The girl's sky blue eyes cracked open to see the beautiful sun rays cascading over her bed. She sat up quickly before remembering where she was and immediately calmed down while the rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

She padded down the stairs but the house was empty. The teen walked around the house but saw no indication of the other two even being there.

She picked up a piece of bread from the table and went outside.

The sun was reflecting off the dewy grass on the field from its place by the horizon and Dean was working on a sleek black car while his husband leant against the side of the bonnet fiddling with a pistol.

The blond moved out from under the hood and gently closed it.

'Are you done playing with that? You could hurt yourself'

He tried to take it but Cas dodged his hands and pressed the cold mussel into his side.

'Very funny' Dean's face seemed to say before he snatched the gun and dropped it onto Baby's hood.

Cas grinned and shoved something into both of their ears and placed the other end on his midsection.

Cas saw the teenager standing awkwardly a few feet away and beckoned her over as Dean went into the driver's seat.

'Claire meet Baby. Dean's "pride and joy" ' the brunet gestured sarcastically to the car and Claire snorted as she approached the vehicle.

Cas tapped the windshield. 'Are you sure it'll work?'

The blond shrugged. 'One way to find out'

'Will what work?' Claire signed, confused.

'He had to make a few adjustments so we'd be able to use her without them hearing us' He tapped his ear and pointed around them. The teen nodded.

'Ready?'

Cas nodded and stepped away from the bonnet as the blond went to turn the key in the ignition.

A loud rumble vibrated throughout the early silence and Claire jumped slightly.

'I thought you silenced' Cas felt panic drop to the pit of his stomach but the blond shook his head as he jumped out of the car.

'That wasn't me'

Two trucks raced onto the piece of land, making dust fly, and stopped near the house not soon after a few people flooded out.

'Cas, Take Claire and go back inside'

'What about you?'

'I'll be right behind you, promise. Now go'

Five

Cas and Claire rushed back inside and he led them down into the basement, that looked more like a safe room, and sealed off the entrance.

"Hey you, we need some supplies for the road, you mind if we raid that little house of yours?"

The group stopped and a rugged ginger man ran his dirty finger along Baby's hood.

"And we might need some new vehicles for the road, so how about you throw in the car too."

"Sorry, not for sale"
