"Yay!" Buzzard paw squealed. Today was the day he was going to become a warrior. Speckle fur, Buzzard paws mother, trotted across the clearing towards him. "It's your big day! I am so proud of you!" She purred. " Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the highledge!" Buzzard paw heard Light star summon the clan. "I gotta go!" Said Buzzard paw and took his place beside his mentor, Squirrel tail.
Light Star started the ceremony. " I, Light Star, Leader of Thunder Clan, call upon my Warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in their turn. Buzzard paw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?" Buzzard paw struggled to keep calm" I do." He said with a glimmer in his eye. Light star smiled " Then by the powers of starclan, I now give you your warrior name. Buzzardpaw you will now be known as buzzard heart. Star clan honors your strength and bravery and we now welcome you as a full thunder clan warrior." Light star rested her muzzle on his buzzard hearts head and buzzardheart licked her shoulder " you will now sit vigil and guard our camp while we sleep." Buzzard heart nodded and walked toward the camp entrance. Finally, he thought, I am a real thunder clan warrior.
