It was now the dawn patrol and storm pelt was leading it. " come on foxpaw we have to go it's nearly time for leaf kit's apprenticing!" storm pelt urged. He was waiting for fox paw to catch the vole that was right in front of him. VOOSH! The vole shot off. Storm pelt was about to walk back to camp when he saw that fox paw was gone. " That mouse- brained fool! He ran right into ShadowClan camp!" He cursed himself for letting him run after that vole. Storm pelt had no choice but to chase fox paw and bring him back before anyone sees. One fox- length away from the border, he tripped and fell down a slope.
Scrabbling for a paw hold and praying to star clan for dear life, finally he found a paw hold and found himself hanging off a cliff. " HELP ME PLEASE!" Storm pelt thought that Fox paw had heard him when he heard paw steps But no, it was Dark face. Dark face crouched and whispered in Stormpelts ear " your little apprentice is dead. Nobody will know that you or your scrawny little apprentice were here." he hissed.
Storm pelt snarled " Even if you kill me, I will remain loyal to my clan I will be able to speak to my daughter who is becoming an apprentice today. She will become the best medicine cat with my help, with starclans help." He tried to stay as defiant as he could, but inside he was trembling with fear. Oh well, he thought, If I die i will still be able to watch my little leaf kits apprenticing. " Your kin are no worth to me or my clan." Dark face snarled and nipped Stormpelt on the paws and made him let go. Good bye leaf kit and fire kit I will watch your apprenticing from starclan, he thought to himself as he plunged into the dark depths of death.
