Ms. Hinata pov

I paced around the room getting more and more anxious. I knew that Sugako would be here soon but I really had to get to my meeting with the company and I couldn't just leave Natsu here. I pick my phone up dialing in Sugako's number calling her. She picked up within seconds.

"Hey there Sugaw-"

"It's Sugako. I prefer the name Sugako." she said quickly cutting me off. I nod to myself.

"I've got to go really soon, how far out are you from my place?" I wondered trying not to let my panic show.

"I'm a block away from your place. I'll be there in a minute or two." Sugako reassured me. I sigh hanging up and calling my daughter to the main room. Natsu came running smiling widely.

"Sugako will be here soon, be nice to her and remember to ask her questions if you need help on your homework." I say as the doorbell rang. I rush to answer it letting in the white haired girl. I thank her for coming and say that Shoyo should be home in an hour and a half.

"Alrighty!" Sugako smiled closing the door behind me. I smile to myself before getting the keys to the car and jumping in driving off.

Kono pov

I take my shoes off and set my school and ballet bag down by the door before kneeling know next to Hina-chan or in other words Hinata-chan.

"Hey there Hina-chan! How was your day?" I ask the little tangerine giving the little girl a pat on the head using the opportunity to tighten her pigtails.

"It was fun. Today Ms. Hayami let us eat marshmello's since she had extras and then Ms. Okuda did fun science experiments with us and then there was Mr. Akabane who substituted for Mr. Shiota and Mr. Akabane sorta just let us do whatever we wanted the entire class period." explained Natsu happily jumping up and down. I laugh a bit covering my mouth.

"Sounds like you had a lot of fun today. Do you have any homework?" I say making her cute smile fade a bit. Natsu crossed her arms folding them like her mother did sometimes.

"yeah but I don't wanna do it. I hate math!" the little girl complained stomping her foot. I shake my head smiling and pick her up putting the girl on my shoulders and carrying the girl to her room and setting her on the bed.

"Alrighty, let's get started. Maybe if we finish early I can make you some chocolate chip cookies." I say giving Natsu motivation. She ran to her school bag and took out two notebooks setting them down and turning the pages until her nose scrunched and she pointed to the addition and subtraction problems. I go to her sitting down next to her beginning to help her by taking out her colored pencils and having her count them.

...

"Finished!" Natsu shouted in triumph. She raised her hands into the sky and danced around her room. I giggle while closing her notebook and putting the pencils away. I got to my feet looking at the clock. It only took us 20 minutes to get all her work done.

"Hina-chan calm down. Why don't you do something fun while I make cookies." I suggest to the young girl. She nodded her head but then stood there for a moment.

"Hmm? Is something wrong?" I ask her.

"I was wondering if you could put on music like you did last time. I liked that music." she said shyly. I nod and take my phone out going to spotify and putting on me and my brothers music playlist. She smiled and began to hum along to the song that was currently playing. I raise an eyebrow wondering how the heck she knew the song. I guess she did have an older brother.

I go to the kitchen getting the ingredients needed for cookies getting started. Mr. Hinata had said I was fine using the kitchen and that anytime I came over Natsu will have already eaten dinner. I just liked making the family sweet treats when I came over. Last week I had made a large batch of Dorayaki. Once the batter was made and distributed nicely into pans I placed the raw dough in the oven heading over to my phone and setting an alarm.

"They should be ready 8 to 10 minutes but they'll be really hot so we're going to have to wait before we eat them." I explain to Natsu. She nodded and we sat in silence for a minute.

"Do you want to color or do something fun?" I ask her breaking the silence that filled the room. Natsu pondered this idea for a bit then a grin appearance on her face.

"I want to dance to the music!" she said standing up and grabbing my wrist attempting to pull me off the sofa. I get up and follow her to the space between the kitchen table and sofa.

"Dance with me Sugako!" Natsu giggled doing a playful twirl. I smile and twirl around as well, only my twirl was a ballet turn and hers was freestyle.

"Woah! What was that? It looked cool!" the tangerine smiled at me which made me smile back. I gesture for her to come over to me as I attempted to teach her how to do a ballet turn.

This went on for a few minutes before the timer for the cookies went off and the door opened almost at the same time. I went to get the cookies and Natsu rushed to her older brother. I took the cookies out and waved my hand over them in a lame attempt to cool them down. I took the oven mitts and walked over to Shoyo.

"Ah, hey there Kono-chan! I hope Natsu wasn't too much trouble and huh? Do I smell cookies?" the boy asked turning his head from me to the kitchen counter where the tray sat cooling off.

I nod and silently take a cookie handing it to him and taking one before giving the boy a nod and leaving the house forgetting my ballet bag.

Author Note: Just some explaining about the name Sugako. It's a combination of Kono's given and family name. She prefers that name when babysitting since it was a nickname that Natsu gave her when they first met.
