(Discontinued) The Forest Of Monsters (An Original Story)

Chapter 1: The Hunt Begins

As the wind blows with a cold winter breeze I hear the flatbed truck start up with dad packing up the tools to chop the trees and make them into firewood. As I got dressed to go out with him and get the wood, I could smell the wood shavings in the air from last year but the air had another smell I didn't recognize. As we were leaving dad and I waved goodbye. We soon arrived and we started to chop down the tree and turn it into firewood. Several hours later we started on our way back but as we drove home I fell asleep and when I woke the air was rushing past the truck and I saw deer running in the woods and I notest that we wore no longer on the trail an as the the deer ran beside us dad told me to grab his Deer rifle and shoot out the back window but as I grabbed it there was something weird I could smell it was that same smell that I noticed at the house, so I told him and he said stop talking a shoot the creature and when I looked back I saw... a giant... SNAKE!!! I quickly grabbed the gun and shot at it, the bullets that (by god knows how) hit it didn't seem to DO ANYTHING!!! The monster that chased us had a massive friled and a bottom/top jaw that had two rows of teeth that were curved, serrated on the back of the teeth and razor sharp on the front of the teeth, they were six or seven inches long. The snake's tail had a single foot long spike. The snake's size was phenomenal, because it was twenty or thirty feet long and one meter across. And when it caught up to us it grabbed a deer and then just slithered away, disappearing back into the trees.

As I grew up I moved into the same house Marshall, Ann, Kenneth, and Hayden had botten. After a while more sightings of beasts/creatures were made. When we got out of high school my friends and I, Marshall, Ann (Marshall's girlfriend), Kenneth, Hayden, and I were in the public library when Hayden and I spotted a book about mythical beasts. As all five of us flipped through the book we saw plenty of monsters that fit the descriptions in the newspaper, one creature caught my eye, the snake that attacked me and my father in the woods, in the book it turned out to be called the BASILISK!!! "But that doesn't make any sense. The creature isn't a Canadian monster," Kenneth said. Marshall in reply says: "your right Kenny... for once in your life." "Ha, ha, ha, ha very funny Marshall," Kenneth sayed in reply. I suggested going into the forest and finding it and getting more views and subs on our vlog channel. We waited until summer break because that was when kids were on the internet or playing outside. As it was Hayden's turn to drive, he drove us to the forest. On our way I spotted a huge swarm of birds flying out of the trees. Of course that was from us driving by I hoped and when we were halfway there we started the vlog live video. Hi guys, and welcome to another vlog video we are going out camping for a few days to see if we can find the forest monsters. So Hayden is driving, Marshall is in the passenger seat in front of me. Titus Wilson or me behind Marshall, and Kenneth behind Hayden. So how about everybody saying hello to all you good foke out there watching!!!

Hayden said: "Hey",

Kenneth said: "hi",

I said: "Hello"

Marshall said: "Nope!!!"

In reply I exclaimed: "Who just said nope!!! Oh, That's really funny Marshall.

Oh and I almost forgot about Ann.

Who was in the back and underneath the pile of stuff.

Say hi Ann."

And she just gave me an upset type of look,

I said: "Oh, and uh, Kenneth, what do you think about your sister dating one of your best friends named Marshall?"

Ten seconds went by before I said: "Oh, now he shuts up."

As we approached the place we chose to camp at we saw Deer, Wild Horse, and even a Bear, but it was just a small black bear. After a while we got to the campsite and we unhooked the camper and started to unpack, but I thought I heard a noise when we were setting up, so I set up the security cameras around the camp. Once we finally set up our outdoor youtube base I got lunch ready, I made a few BLT sandwiches for every one with me. At about 9pm we set up some meat for a trap near CAM 5, as a trap for any monsters. I had the first shift of watching the cameras, when it was 10pm something or someone with a load of hair and no clothing. So I went and woke everyone up and during that time I heard a loud roar that woke the rest of them up, Hayden went and got the videoing camera for the youtube video, Kenneth went and got the trainckulizergun, Marshall, Ann and I to the camera monitor. We saw the giant hairy ape stuck in the bear trap, we all put head laps and shoes on, grabbed some walkie talkie, Marshall and Ann stayed at the trailer to be the eyes and ears. Hayden, Kenny and I went out to camera 5. Hayden has the youtube cam, Kenneth has the rifle, and I have a handgun.

As we were walking Marshall gave us a heads up and said: "Hey guys watch out, it has gotten out of the bear trap."

In reply I said: "K, Thanks for the heads up Marshall."

I looked at Hayden, Kenneth and said: "Stay close guys, especially you Hayden."

But just as I turned around I saw the hairy beast up ahead and it was charging us, so I yelled: "OPEN FIRE KENNETH!!!"

And open fire he did, he shot a sleeping dart right at his chest. It collapsed about five meters away from us. As we walked towards the slumbering beast I koct the hand gun with lethal ammunition. As we shone the headlight on this massive hairy man I noticed it's massive size. It was at least ten feet tall, it also stank of rotening/dead mammal or fish flesh? It's brown fur covered foot was now stained green with it's blood, alien-like blood. But as we got close enough to almost touch it we were told that it wasn't alone. Marshall gave us warning about there being more creatures coming this way and so Kenneth and I loaded our guns up with lethal Ammo and got ready for a fight. Hayden's camera was recording the whole time, so he heard everything, saw everything and got it all on camera. As we quietly jogged to the trailer Hayden tripped so I had to run back for him and help him up then I realized that we were going in the rough direction! Then Marshall radioed in and said that we just ran past the farthest hunting Camera which was Cam 5. So what we did was run, run and run until we found the road but we had to run the other direction because the bigfeet cut us off. When the beasts finally lost us we followed the compass back to the camp, by the time we got there it was morning, poor Marshall and Ann were worried that we got lost (which we teknetly did get lost for a couple of hours), eaten, or even worse. Ann was more worried about Kenneth then me or Hayden but whatever.

Candace said: "You're ok!"

As she ran in our direction.

I said: "Yeah, we are."

As she ran by me and hugged Kenneth only.

Hayden said: "yeah we're ok too, thanks for asking."

Marshall said: "So how are you guys, are you okay?"

Kenneth said: "We're thankful to be alive."

And so we all went back inside the trailer and had breakfast, but as we were eating breakfast we heard a huge roar from the forest and the noise came from the SouthWest direction of the camp, very close.

I said: "Hayden, get the camera!"

Hayden said: "no!"

I said: "Why not?!"

Hayden Said: "This isn't worth our lives."

I said: "but think of the money we will get."

I said: "the camera, please."

Hayden replies: "NO!!"

So we argued for 20-30 minutes, until I got in the rhino and convinced Kenneth to come with me and started it up, but then Ann got in the back, so I told Ann to get out but she insisted that she had to protect the "twin or twit", I wasn't really listening to what she had to say, so I gave up trying to fight with her, so she came with me and Kenneth in the little joy ride with the camcorder. But during the ride I swerved to avoid a deer and crashed. Luckily we weren't too far from the camp. Hayden also saw the crash sight on cam 3 and told Marshall to get the truck.
