Elyse drummed her fingers against the vanity table.

Nerves had overcome her body, and they weren't going away.

"Hey," A voice said from behind, moving the current door, "Here."

Elyse looked up to see her sister Emily standing there with two shots in her hands.

"Where'd you get those?" Elyse asks, reaching for one.

"I snuck behind the bar, don't tell Lenny."

"Liquid luck," Elyse said. They clinked glasses, a grimace appearing on both of their faces. They both slammed the shot glasses on the table.

"I don't get why both of us get so nervous. We do this every Friday night," Emily said, her leg bouncing up and down while she sat.

"It's something about being on stage and being in front of everyone," Elyse said while fixing her hair.

"Yeah, and maybe for the fact we're lead vocals," Emily scoffed.

"Yeah, that too," Elyse sighed, "Look at the bright side, it's country night tonight. Everyone will be too drunk to realize if we mess up."

"Yeah, I guess. The most annoying thing is having to dress the theme," Emily said while glancing back at the clothing rack behind Elyse.

"Yeah, those stupid tassels mom put on the shirts."

They both sat in silence, realizing they had to get dressed because they had to be on stage in less than ten minutes.

They got up and grimaced at the clothes on the rack, putting them on.

"I get we live in Georgia, but we're teenagers. I want my normal clothes back," Emily said while looking down at her outfit.

"Yeah, me too," Elyse said while looking in the mirror, "But you gotta admit it, we do look hot."

They admired themselves for a brief second before the curtain opened up.

"Five minutes girls," Lenny said, "Should get up there now, make sure everything's all prepped."

They nodded and made their way to the stage, cheers erupting from the crowd. The bar always tended to be more crowded on country nights.

Elyse and Emily smiled and waved as they made sure that the band had everything they needed behind them.

Before checking out, Elyse faced the back of the stage and took a few breaths. She threw on a quick smile and turned around, facing the crowd.

She grabbed the microphone quickly and held it in her hand, feeling the familiar weight.

"How's everyone doin' tonight?" The crowd cheered, making a smile appear on the band's faces.

Elyse looked around the room full of drunk adults dressed for the night. Familiar faces were everywhere. A lot of them coming to see the band every Friday.

"Aw, come on," She said while looking around the room, "Y'all can do better than that. I said, "How's everyone doin' tonight?"

The cheers were louder than before.

"That's good," she looked around the room, her eyes scanning for a pair of eyes. Finally, she found them. Rick. She sent a quick smile but quickly got back to the set.

"How about we get this show on the road?" Elyse said while making her way back to her spot on stage. As if on cue, the music started playing Johnny Cash.

The crowd cheered as the sisters sang, and it was like that the rest of the night. Somehow, the crowd was even louder when they ended with Garth Brooks.
