CHAPTER 7 - WILL YOU COME

STEPHEN'S POV

I am followed by the 2 dorks and I decided to hide from them and I know they are suspicious of me to where I go in the break time leaving them.

After they were gone, I went to the terrace to meet Herley but she is no where to be found. I was sad and was about to leave but I found something on the ground. I picked it up, it was the ID card of Herley. I was suddenly happy to know that she is here but she might have to leave in a hurry. I smiled imagining her face when she was cheering for me. she was so cute and her innocent eyes were just~ I kept my right hand on my heart to feel it racing.

Soon I went back to the basketball court to practice smiling unknowingly and kept the ID card in my pocket to give it to her later.

TIME SKIP~

My practice is over and I am going to my classroom but I stopped in front of her classroom to find it empty, I slowly went inside making sure no one saw me and I found a novel which Herley reads in one of the desks in the corner near the window. I assumed that it is her desk. I remember the ID card. I took it out of my pocket and kept it inside her novel and went back to my class.

TIME SKIP~

NEXT DAY~

HERLEY'S POV

It is break time now and I am in the terrace reading my novel in a corner.

STEPHEN- Hey Herley.

I heard him and looked up with a smile which crept on my face unknowingly. I blushed to see him siting next to me and peeking in my novel.

HERLEY- H-Hey.

STEPHEN- (Aish! she is so cute when she is nervous, if this goes on, I wont be able to control myself) How are you? we haven't met for 2 days now.

What! he remembered? Why do he make me feel special every time we meet. Is he like that with everyone or just m-me.

STEPHEN- Hey, are you listening?

HERLEY- Y-yeah! yes, I am fine and congratulations for winning the match. you were looking c-cool that time.

STEPHEN'S POV

When she complimented me shyly looking down, she looked so cute and I just wanted to squish her cheeks but I controlled myself.

STEPHEN- T-Thankyou and also for cheering for me. It meant a lot. I was motivated to win after seeing you.

Uhhh! I hate myself for stuttering and what the hell I just said. Oh no! She might think I am a freak or some dork who wants her attention anyhow. I was cursing myself in my mind but stopped when I looked at her.

she widened her eyes at first but then she shyly nodded her head and looked down, her cheeks are all red.

What? red? Is she blushing? because of me? I thought staring at her while she just looked down avoiding any eye-contact.

I smiled at her cute red face. Her innocent eyes are making me fall for her and her actions make me look at her every time she is near me.

What? Am I falling for her? I asked myself while my heart beat increased as if it is giving me an answer. I do like her. I muttered and smiled after I finally realised my feelings towards her.

I looked at her and she was looking at me all confused.

STEPHEN- W-What happen?

HERLEY- You said something just now?

STEPHEN- N-no I did not.

HERLEY- oh okay.

STEPHEN- Listen, I want to ask you something.

HERLEY- Yes tell me.

STEPHEN- Are you going to participate in the competition? I asked her hoping she is interested and she can also come with us and we can spend some time together there as well. She said nothing so I asked her again.

STEPHEN- Will you come? I asked politely and looked at her hoping for a yes.

HERLEY- No. I am not interested in the competition so I wont participate.

STEPHEN- WHY! I suddenly shouted which I regretted after seeing her flinching at my sudden rage in the voice. I mean you are intelligent and you are one of the best students of our school so you should participate. It can be a good experience for you. And for me too.

I said the last sentence muttering and she thankfully did not hear it.

HERLEY- I-I am not so excited actually so I am not thinking much about it.

I was sad but I did not want to force her to come and sound desperate so I just said okay to her and stood up from beside her and walked away.
