A/n: I'm so sorry for the very long wait! School and the art internship at school had both kept me busy with projects, tests and exams...Adding to that, I still need to finish art for a commission and some collabs, but I'm trying to squeeze at least a chapter in.

I honestly have fun thinking of scenarios which do not necessarily happen in the death game itself so it might be another AU.

To clarify, the AUs I write are not necessarily actual AUs. The scenarios happening in those chapters could happen before the death game for some cases.

This one might be written very...messily since it was out of a situation that just occured to me (when I started writing).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Spoilers: Mentions of Midori's and "Sou's" actual names.

Disclaimer:
The one-shot may contain bits of a personal issue, including some of its dialogue in the beginning. Considering I started this forever ago, I'll keep it rather short towards the end. Take it as some platonic bonding?

Family mess

"No way in hell would I appreciate anything you've done for me!"

"Oh just go to the hospital to sew your mouth! If you don't want to reply to anyone then you have nothing to say nor do you need to eat!"

*THUD*

"Fine then..."

They stood up with a slam of their hand to the table, took their plate and glass to the kitchen, putting them in the sink, only to walk downstairs. Arriving in their room, they slid down their door, hugging their knees close to them.

Why?

Just why?

All just because of a swear word which her mom used on them.

Apparently, it was rude of them to use it against her, but her saying that to them? That was alright to her. Just because she was an upper authority to them due to her being their mom.

So it was fine and alright to curse their child?

What was fair about it?

Nothing, nothing at all.

To her, it was only fair that way though.

Just how much of a low-life became some parents these days?

In the first moment your parents curse you. The next they play the victims as soon as you accuse them of it, saying they did everything for you to be happy and have a healthy life.

Was it really healthy to suffer from self doubt and mentally breaking thoughts though?

No, it wasn't — not even in the slightest.

Yet their mom pretends it was which was also what pissed them off so much.

Were they happy around their parents?
