(Y/N)'s POV

"Just to be clear with you, the world doesn't make any sense. Logic doesn't exist." Mr. Gonzalez explained to me as I stood there, ready to be transmitted and transported to the location of my mission.

For some reason, Mr. Gonzalez was explaining as if I haven't done A mission similar before. I'm sure I've done worse. "Alright, nothing I haven't dealt with before. You don't have to specify."

"I know, I know, It's just," Mr. Gonzalez begins. I look at him confused. Why was he so worried? "Be careful. With the girl, I mean." I raised an eyebrow.

"Ena? Do you mean? I'm sure she's not that bad. I'm sure I've gone through worse." I say, trying to reassure Mr. Gonzalez.

"No, no. It's not that. I'm positive you'll enjoy her. It's just, I don't know. You know what, nevermind. It's not important. You do your mission, alright?" I nod, not pushing the topic any further for I just wanted to get the mission done and over with.

I'm not sure why Mr. Gonzalez seemed so worried. Not worried, just bothered. Bothered by something. It feels as if he's never going to see me again, which I'm sure is not going to be the case. Whatever his deal is, I don't have the time or energy to find out what it is. I have a mission to accomplish.

"Alright, please step into the capsule." One of my peers, who works with the capsule, order me. I nodded, mumbling a small 'Of course' before stepping in.

"Everything will be provided to you when you get there. Your appearance might change, just a fair warning." I nod. (It won't too much, unless you want it to. I'm going to write the main character as if they look like you irl)

"Ready for transportation." I hear the robotic voice from the machine state. "Are you ready?" Said Mr. Gonzalez.

"Ready as I'll ever be, like always."

The glass door closes in front of me. I sigh, preparing myself for an unfamiliar environment.

"Transporting in 3,

"Have fun."

My thoughts feel scrambled. All I see are stars and billions of suns that are scattered across the endless universes. The freckles of the universe make me want to float endlessly with no purpose among them.

I feel like something is waiting for me. My purpose? Where do I belong? Do I belong here?

My eyes don't feel like my own. It's as if I'm watching a movie. Is this even reality anymore? Am I falling? Am I flying? What is the pulling feeling-

~

I gasp, catching my breath before observing my surroundings. I bend over with my hands on my knees.

What the hell was that? I've never felt that while being transported. And what as that "have fun"?? Mr. Gonzalez always says "good luck". That's so unlike him. What was on his mind? It's too late to ask him now.

As I take a moment to process what just occurred, I realized the floor wasn't normal.

It was gray and crystal-like. Like paned glass. I could almost see my reflection in it. I reach down to touch the texture of the ground, yet it felt exactly how it looked. Glass.

I look up, observing my surroundings. All around were white and gray crystal-like trees. They all seemed to be made of glass. It felt as if I was in a painting of some sort. An old video game maybe.

Turning around, I saw the black hut, made out of the same thing these trees are made out of, except in a completely different color. That must be my shelter.

Cautiously, I open the door to my temporary home.

The hut was homey, yet odd. Everything about it was odd. It looked almost like a normal house. Almost. There was a couch that was hovering over the ground. The couch "cushions" were made out of clear digital rectangles.

The coffee and dinner table was almost the same, except they were on the floor, which was pixelated might I add.

I walked over to the kitchen, which would have been normal if it didn't look like a kid's drawing. Literally. The cupboards, fridge, and sink looked like they were drawn by a four-year-old.

I look through the "window" that was above the sink, which didn't display what was actually outside at all. Instead, all I saw was a bright sun paired with a blue sky with green vibrant grass. The scenery didn't look real.

Curious, I turn on the sink. A black static-looking liquid came out. Its texture was like water and since I'm in a different reality, I'm going to guess that it is.

I take a deep breath, walking over to a door in which I hoped was a bedroom The universe listened to my wishes as I found what I was looking for.

A bed in the center of the room, which was for the most part normal, except the pillows and sheets looked like glitchy rain. I sighed, not caring as I flopped onto the bed.

Turning my head to the side, I was faced with a full-length mirror. I slowly get up, taking a good look at myself.

For the most part, not much has changed. My (H/C) hair stayed the same along with my (E/C) eyes. My (S/C) skin was just as fleshy as it's always been. The only difference was that I have a few patches of static on my body. Similar to scars. I didn't really mind. My appearance hardly changed and I look pretty cool.

Knock Knock Knock

I quickly turn my head towards the sound as my attention shifted from my reflection to whoever could possibly be at the door. I'm pretty sure I have no neighbors...

Quickly making my way to the door, I open it to be met with a sphere-like creature. They seemed to take the shape of the crescent moon. They only had one eye, which was on their left side, along with a thick eyebrow and short hair. On the right side of them, they had a hole in the shape of a square. Interesting, to say the least.

"Huh, I don't think I've seen you around. You new or something?" She says.

Crap. What should I say? Should I lie? Say I've lived here? Or should I say I'm new? I am new but It's not like I moved here. I just appeared.

"Uhm, yeah. I'm new, I think..." I think? What's wrong with me today?

"Uh, okay. Anyway, a friend of mine ran into these woods. Have you seen some half-blue half-yellow girl running around? Probably screaming or crying?"

Screaming and crying? They seem to be a little bit too calm for a situation like this.

"No, sorry. I'd be glad to help, though." I offer.

"Ugh, please! I've been looking for like, a while!" She complained.

"Alright then," I say, closing the door behind me. "Might I ask what your name is?" I ask. Something I've learned over the years is that it's so much easier to get the job done when you meet more people who can help you.

"Moony, you?" Huh, ironic. I could've guessed.

"Ah, I'm (Y/N). Might I ask, who exactly are we looking for?"

"My friend. Her name is Ena."

Jackpot.
