"What did he look like mom?" Alani asked Aaliyah

"He was about 6'2, light hazel eyes and dark hair. He also had two other guys with them, they questioned me about you" Aaliyah replied back over the phone.

The description Alani's mother gave her, made Alani shiver. She knew exactly who her mother was talking about, Luca's father was doing everything he could to find out Luca's whereabouts. Alani feared for her mother's safety.

"I know exactly who you're talking about, did you tell him anything?" Alani questioned

"No, I didn't, I told him that I had no clue what he was talking about and that you're fine. Alani, what the hell have you gotten yourself into?!" Aaliyah raised her voice

"Nothing major, he's trying to find luca and is doing everything he can to do so" Alani calmly replied back.

"I got this mom, I promise I do and nothing will happen to me"

Aaliyah let out a deep sigh, she didn't know what type of trouble her daughter was causing by holding this man away from the police. She wanted to step in but knew it wouldn't mean anything to Alani. Alani has always been the helping kind and that's how Aaliyah raised her to be, she couldn't be mad at Alani for protecting Luca.

"Just promise me that you won't get hurt" Aaliyah said quietly

"I promise, look, I gotta go. Just be safe and don't answer to anybody okay?"

"Okay" Aaliyah said and hung up.

Alani knew that her mom didn't like this at all, just by the tone of her voice but, Alani was already to deep into what was happening around her. She couldn't give up on Luca, she promised that she wouldn't give up on him.

Alani placed her phone on the counter, closed her eyes and thought to herself. She never thought in a million years that should be running away from people and helping someone get away from police and their father.

The sound of feet made Alani turn around quickly to only find Luca standing behind her with a toothy smile.

"You alright? You look stressed" Luca said with a pout, he hate seeing Alani upset or stressed and he knew it was because of him, he just never said anything about it.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Alani smiled

"You can talk to me" Luca said and rubbed her shoulder, Luca picked Alani up and sat her on the counter and got in between her legs.

"Your father payed a nice little visit to my mother the other day" Alani sighed

Luca eyes widen at the comment, he knew his father would do anything to get him back but he didn't like the fact that he targeted Alani's family, they had nothing to do with this and needed to be left out of the situation.

"I'll kill him" Luca said and looked into Alani's eyes.

"Your mom has nothing to do with this, why can't he just leave me alone!? I've done nothing but exist" Luca felt himself getting mad, he moved away from Alani and rubbed his temples.

"Hey, hey, it's okay Luca" Alani hopped off of the counter and walked over to Luca.

"My mom is a strong woman, she can handle herself and if she can't, she's not afraid to ask for help. Where do you think I get it from?" Alani placed her hand on Luca's back

"You're right, it's just, why?" Luca looked at Alani and she could see the hurt in his eyes, he was really confused on why his dad hated him so damn much to the point he'll kill him if he had the chance.

"I don't know Luca, your father is a strange man" Alani said

"I need to go to the store real quick, I'll be back Luca. You just stay here and calm down alright?" Alani gave Luca a quick hug before walking out of the kitchen and out of the house.

Alani looked around the aisle trying to find what she was looking for, she didn't really need to get much for the house but still wanted to get something.

Truth be told, she just wanted to get out of the house. They've been cooped up in the house for weeks now, she just needed a breath of fresh air.

Stopping in front of a bunch of products, she finally found what she was looking for and it was a pregnancy test. Lately, her and Luca haven't been doing anything but having sex and she was scared that she was pregnant after missing a week of her period.

She took a deep breath and grabbed the box, she wanted kids just not right now. There was too much going on for her and Luca to bring a child into the mixed.

She smiled at the thought of Luca and their child running around the house and the sound of a baby's voice calling her mama, but it was to much for her at this moment.

"Excuse me?" An unknown voiced called out

Alani jumped out of her thoughts and faced the person with the voice.

"Yeah?" Alani looked at the lady

"Are you Alani?" The lady asked

"May I ask who's asking?" Alani responded back with a raised eyebrow.

The lady simply shook the comment off and chuckled at it.

"My name is Mary" Mary stuck her hand out and waited for Alani to grab it and shake it.

Alani just looked at Mary, she tried to hide her fear but it didn't work. Mary knew that Alani was intimidated by her, Mary lips curled into a smirk as she watched Alani shake in her boots.

Mary looked down at the box that Alani was holding and immediately got disgusted, Luca had gotten this girl pregnant? Luca was gonna be stuck with this girl forever and Mary didn't like the thought of that. See, Mary has always been obsessed with Luca, she never understood why she was obsessed with him. She just was.

"You're pregnant? Congratulations" Mary put on a fake smile.

"Um, yeah, I'm not pregnant just trying to see if I am or not, but I have to go and pay for this, nice meeting you" Alani hurried up and walked away from Mary without looking back, how did Mary know she was gonna be at the specific store?

Mary balled her hands into a fist, she was livid at the fact that Alani may or may not be pregnant. She was also mad that Alani didn't shake her hand, in her hand was a small tracking device that would of be placed on Alani's hand if she would of shaken it.

Mary walked out of the store and back to the limo that was waiting for her, she quickly got in and shut the door.

"Did you place the tracking device on her?" Lance asked and looked over at his sister.

"Does it look like I placed it on her?" Mary grabbed lance's hand and forcefully placed the tracking device in his palm.

"What happened?" Lance asked

"She didn't shake my hand and get this, she thinks she might be pregnant, I saw her buying a pregnancy test" Mary said and stomped her foot.

"Pregnant?! That can't be right, we can't let her have this baby. We don't need another Luca in this world" Lance said and rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger.

"I agree dear brother, but maybe we should let her have this child. That way, we'll have leverage over her. Who do you think Alani will choose? Her kid or Luca, think about it" Mary smiled.

Deep down, Mary wanted Alani to have the child, simply so she can kidnap the baby and raise it as her own. She's always wanted kids and wanted Luca, it was the best of both worlds. Alani would have to choose, either Luca or the baby.
