"HEY, GET BACK HERE MEL!!!" a little girl with black hair and bright green eyes in ponytails screamed as she ran after another little girl with long straight strawberry blonde hair and baby blue eyes down a hallway, "gotta catch me first Li-Li!!" the blonde girl screamed. the blonde girl was the older sister to the little black haired girl by a year. the strawberry blonde girl's name was Melanie and the black haired girl's name was Lilly, they always called each other nick names like those.
while Melanie was calling back to her younger sister she went and bumped into a person, she ran into a lanky short boy with short fluffy strawberry blonde hair with the same baby blue eyes as Melanie. "oops, sorry big bro" she said to the boy as she stopped running and Lilly coming up being her. "it's alright Melanie just watch out where you're going next time ok?" he scolded her "don't wanna break anything, dad won't like that". "ok Elli" Melanie had said smiling at her brother. Elliot smiled back being happy to see his sister's happy and playing.
the girls ran off back down the hallway. "ELLIOT CAN YOU COME HERE, DEAR?" his mother called for him from the lobby, "ALRIGHT MOM!" he called back and went and ran downstairs to the lobby. his mom and his father were standing waiting for him, "I'm here" he said alerting his presence to his parents.
"we wanted to tell you that we plan on getting you a bigger room!" his mother exclaimed "since you're 14 now we think you should have a bigger room". "ooo what room am I getting?" he asked his mom as he couldn't guess what room he would get ad there was a fair amount of rooms he could take since they had 3 spare bedrooms incase Smith had work partners flying in to stay in. "you will be getting your father's office room, he's managed to get it so he doesn't need to work at home anymore so we figured to give it to you"
he'd always dreaded going into his father's office, his father would take him in there while his mom was at work and beat him, Melanie occasionally joined him in there but thankfully rarely did she ever join. Lilly was the only one that their father really liked, she was his "daddy's little girl", so she never got any kind of abuse.
him getting that room was really scary for him, since his mom is always out at night at her job Smith can easily start to beat up Elliot since he was already in the room at night so Smith didn't have to struggle to get him to the room, and since nobody would need to come in there at all unless trying to get Elliot means little chance anybody would need to come into the room. and with Smith being the one in power of the whole house he could easily hide Elliot's body if he died to Smith.
Elliot hoped he would end up ok once he could leave for college.
